It still makes me weep when I hear the account of the Lewis revival as told by that precious saint, Duncan Campbell. When he speaks of going to the door at 11pm and there being six or seven hundred people, hungry and seeking God, it makes my heart sore. Oh that the people of my homeland would once again seek the living God, oh that He would rend the heavens and step down. Oh that the people of this great land of America would turn their eyes heavenward to see that the true treasures of this life come in our encounters with majesty. May it be so just one more time Lord, just one more time that your name may be glorified not only on the lips of men, but in the hearts of men. Men and women so overcome by His presence that they simply fall to their knees and cry Holy, hardly daring to breath, not daring to move because the King of glory has come in. Open the gates of your heart and the King of glory shall come in.
An actual prophet leaves the earth. God bless his family. It really is like losing a brother. In the often mad world of Christendom, his was a voice that stood above the din. He walked with God, he heard His voice and he loved His presence and he spoke without fear or favor. Oh, but one can only imagine the glory he now dwells in forever. This man had a target on his back as did his family and he stood faithfully through all of it , always bringing us back to the cross and reminding us of the overcoming Christ………..brother Frank
The desert sand is shifting, the mountain rocks are melting, the sea-beds are deepening, the whole earth is groaning and travailing and man sets his targets on change. My people, set your focus on Me, for I will set My Son upon the clouds and He will come as the fulfilment of all things. Where are we today? Is the Bridegroom truly at the door? Does the day of our salvation draw nigh? So many Christians around the world just sense it in their spirit that the day of the Lord is fast approaching. And yet there seems to be just as many who have no conception of the times in which we live. Jesus told us that we should be able to discern the signs of the times. The thought of judgment on a grand scale is so overwhelming that it takes the Holy Spirit to wake a people up. Now, when the day of the Lord occurs, it has always been overwhelming. It was overwhelming for humanity in the days of Noah when the rains began to fall from the sky. Right up until the day that Noah entered the ark, people went about their business, albeit everyone of them were wicked, but God had His remnant.
For it is the God who commanded light to shine into darkness who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ Read the rest of this entry »
The Remant man or woman carries their cross. Carrying a cross is a lonely business. Its their very lonliness that compels them to seek an even closer walk with the Lord. The trials of the cross, the narrowness of the path, the desert and wilderness that often stretches out before you, a lack of fitting in, no ackowledgement of anything that you do, what you do you do in secret, you only seek to see the Lord high and lifted up.
Can I suggest brothers and sisters that the Lord is weeping today over His church, His bride? Can it be possible that all day long the Lord cries out to us and we are ignoring Him? Can it be possible that He walks amongst us and we are so dead in our religion that we fail to see Him. Is He not knocking on the doors of our heart? What a tragedy that the Lord Himself is knocking on the doors of His Church and the knocking goes unanswered because we are too busy with the cares of this world to have the time to seek Him and to answer the knocking. We are so pre-occupied with the business of the world, we are so distracted that we cannot see that even now as you read this, the enemies of God’s people are encompassing us, on every side. Shall we too miss “ the time of our visitation?”
Revival is something that happens to us when the shekinah glory of the Lord comes down, when there is such an awareness of His presence that men and woman can can stand in the refining fire of God and exalt His holiness, fall on their faces in the awe and majesty that comes, not from a head knowledge, but from a radical encounter with a living God that has “stepped down.” When He steps down, time ceases to have meaning. The cares of this world disappear. The world of all possibilities open up. There is great joy, there is weeping, the lost cry out “is there mercy for me,” and they rejoice to find out , yes indeed there is mercy for the man of Calvary has come and walks in the midst of His people. Jesus, that name, the fullness of the Godhead, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is revival. God Himself is an encounter.
God Himself is an encounter. A heart that has not been enraptured by love, is a heart that has not had an encounter with the Living God. Revival is encounter!Read the rest of this entry »
When I saw President Bush stand there and speak yesterday and this morning, I have never seen such a humiliated person. To have to announce policy’s in front of the whole world, which diametrically oppose everything he stands for, is the severest of judgments. Literally having to eat your words. We should fear the judgments of the Lord, He is to be feared.
You have gathered here today in defiance of darkness and tyranny. You have come here to fight as free men and free men you are, for it is I that gave you that very freedom. So you see with your eyes that you are few and they are many, you see that you are vastly outnumbered. Will you fight today?Read the rest of this entry »
There is a time for shouting and praising God, but if we are ignoring the knocking, then we must stop shouting. If our lives are not reflecting the Glory of God, if we are not becoming like His Son, daily, then all of our shouting and praising God will just be so much noise. How tragic for the church of the living God if, when He looks down, He does not see praise but just a group of people making a noise.”Read the rest of this entry »
“Jesus has many who love His kingdom in heaven, but few who bear His cross. He has many who desire comfort, but few who desire suffering. He finds many to share His feast, but few His fasting. All desire to rejoice with Him, but few are willing to suffer for His sake. Many follow Jesus to the breaking of the bread, but few to the drinking of the cup of His passion. Many admire the miracles, but few follow Him to the humiliation of the cross. Many love Jesus as long as no hardship touches them.”
This is a vision that I had as I stood on a terrace in Croatia. My wife and I went there last year on our 25th anniversary. Before I went the Lord had shown me that I would meet someone there and that it would be significant, just did not know that He was talking about Himself. The whole piece was my vision, He gave me a new way of writing my testimony and of writing about coming into His presence, then the Word that He gave me for the church, I wrote in red at the end. I pray that this will challenge and convict you………….
They will gather together and throw in their gold and rise up and play, or in this case, fall down and play. You see the people are without leadership, and the Lord has with-held His rain. So the people have demanded gods to go before them, listen to what they said to Aaron…”make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. “
Madam Guyon writes…………….I am deeply grieved that so many in this day(she lived 300 years ago, people never change)even some good people, allow themselves to be led astray by the enemy. Has not God warned us against false prophets and lying wonders of the last days? All true prophets have spoken in the name of the Lord-”Thus says the Lord.” The enemy gains great advantage because people love extraordinary manifestations, signs and wonders. I believe the inordinate love of external signs is used of the enemy to draw people away from the Word of God and from the inward way of faith. The signs that come from God encourage you to die to yourself. (Intimacy with Christ..p21)
string> If you are known personally by God, If He knows every hair of your head, then how is it that you could ever imagine yourself insignificant? Is that not a lie from the pits of hell? How much evil and mischief has the enemy of your soul been able to achieve by simply convincing you that you have no worth and are insignificant?Read the rest of this entry »
Its about being transparent in our walk with Him. Its about taking back ground and being more effective for Him. Its about the fact that darkness must flee when it is exposed to light. This is the battle and it mostly takes place in the mind, the flesh demanding that it be protected at all costs, not wanting to be “humiliated,” or “humbled,” in the sight of man.
If it was not for this fire, that rages in the night
This blood that runs like molten to my soul
I would fall into the darkness, never more to fight
My light would be consumed and the dark would take its toll
So what is there a desperate need of today? The power that the Apostles exercised before Pentecost? Or the power that they exercised after Pentecost? May the Spirit of the Lord fall upon His church and may we be endued with “Katanusso,” power, the power to penetrate the hard hearts of the lost and the dying . Read the rest of this entry »
