Holding back the waters.

Posted by appolus on July 31, 2019

I want to convey to the saints a word the Lord gave me yesterday (29th July, 2019) He gave me Joshua chapter four and then opened it up to me. I pray that this word will bring you some peace and understanding. It is much easier to suffer when we realize what we are suffering for. May your eyes be opened to see how the Lord is using you. This is the bigger picture and it effects all remnant saints around the world. God bless you my brothers and sisters, you are not alone in the battle.

In Joshua chapter four we see the children of Israel passing from the wilderness, across the raging spring swollen river Jordon, into the promised land. It is a highly significant event, it is as significant a day as any in the Jewish calendar. It is akin to the Passover and was to be remembered as such. This was indeed another kind of Passover as they passed from the wilderness and forty years of wilderness wandering, into the promised land. The Apostle Paul in 1 Cor 10:1-4 likens the journey of Israel out of Egypt and into the wilderness as our baptism in the sea and in the cloud. They all ate spiritual meat ( manna) and drank spiritual water from the Rock (Christ) And yet our baptism is not the end of things, it is the beginning of things. The Israelites were at the beginning of their forty years in the wilderness. Now the time between the Lord ascending through the clouds and coming back in like fashion is the time of our troubles. A time of trials and testings. In this time we see who has a firm foundation and who does not. Who would stand in the many evil days and who would fall? Flesh and sinew was being added to the dry bones in the valley.

At the end of the wilderness wanderings it comes time to pass over into the promised land. I want to suggest to you saints that we have come near the end of the wilderness wanderings of the saints. Christ is at the door of our own promised land, and He ushers us to come in, come across the river and enter into His rest. In order for the saints to cross, the raging river must be stopped. On the one side we have the wilderness where all who name the name of Jesus dwell. This wilderness is a place of separation. It tries and tests the saints for loyalty and strips away everything until only Christ is left. The times of trials and testings will soon reach its zenith and so it is time for the priests to take up their places in the middle of the river holding aloft the glory of God.

The river signifies the force of this world, it is a barrier separating the wilderness from a land flowing with milk and honey. The remnant saints find themselves in the middle of a river holding back the powers of darkness represented by the rivers flow. They cannot move from this place until the Lord Himself directs them. The priests could not move until the children of God crossed over. God’s presence in the midst of the river stops the circumstances of life from overwhelming the saints as they cross to the other side. His presence interrupts the works of darkness, His light, His manifest glory allows for safe passage and His promise is that He would be with us as we pass through the waters.

When the ark is removed then the flood waters will come back unabated. There is no crossing the river when the priests and the presence of God is removed. From the world to the wilderness to the promised land, God makes a way. He removes mountains and splits the seas wide open and stops the flow of mighty rivers. All of these things are barriers. Mountains, rivers and oceans, all bow to Jesus. It is He who gives us this way of escape. There is no force that can stand against our God. The very way of escape for His children becomes the means of judgment for His enemies. The might of the Egyptian army found this out. When God lifts His hand, the seas return and drown His enemies. When the presence of God is removed from the Jordon, the waters return and render the river impassable.

Remnant saints, you represent the presence of God. By holding up the glory of God in the midst of the river bed, you are beckoning and directing those still languishing in the wilderness. Most of Christendom dwells in a great wilderness desert. God is calling to all those who are named after His name. He is warning that soon the presence of God will be completely gone from this wilderness place and Christendom. The time to pass over is now before the priests who hold aloft the presence of God are commanded to come up out of the river and the waters of this world return with a great force.

There are two monuments to this passing. One is seen, the other unseen. They are intimately connected to one spot, the very place where the priests stood with the glory of God all around. And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night (Jos 4:3) And then again in verse 9. And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day. For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over (Jos 4:9-10)

To my brothers and sisters in the Royal priesthood can you see the two monuments? One at Gilgal which is seen and celebrated and God is given all the glory, and the other unseen, but marked by God, known by God. The remnants work is for the most part unseen, not applauded by men but marked by God. God sees your work brothers and sisters. He sees your anguish. He knows, He knows. He has marked you on the forehead with an ink-horn. That which is done in secret, one day God will reward openly. He is using you to uphold His glory, to maintain His presence in a day and age where gross darkness has overtaken the land like a mighty rushing river.

Remnant saints, your place is in the middle of the Jordon until the Lord commands you otherwise. The Lord is using you as a marker, a sign post if you like, along the narrow path that leads from death to life. In the crossing the people rushed over while the priests held steady in the midst of the river, a crossing only possible because they held aloft the glory and the presence of God. Few hold up the glory, most rush on not wanting to get swept away. We walk according to our calling. Hold steady, stand firm, do not move. God will direct you. He will tell you when. Keep lifting up the name of Jesus.

Persecution is on our doorstep.

Posted by appolus on July 25, 2019

Prosecution plus politics equals inquisition. In an inquisition it is not about guilt or innocence. One is already presumed and announced to be guilty. Only by bowing to the authority of the inquisitors can one be exonerated. You may believe what happened to Brett Kavanaugh or President Trump are isolated cases of judicial madness, where the strongest and most dominant voice in the room is the shrill scream of the demented masses, but you would be wrong.

These are unfolding precedents, harbingers if you like, of a sweeping darkness that will cover the land. A land where the mask is ripped away from lady justice and her scales have fallen in the street. Fundamental elements of law in the west, such as habeas corpus and innocent until proven guilty, are under attack by unseen forces, the spirit of anarchy. Now, there is a method behind this madness.

In places like China, people are whisked away never to be seen again. Habeas corpus literally means to “produce the body.” This means that the authorities under habeas corpus are duty bound to bring a defendant before the court and give a reason for their confinement and an opportunity for defendant to defend himself. In the west, until now, a man is presumed to be innocent until the authorities can prove he is guilty.

The introduction of the word exonerated into our legal system is interesting. It was announced that President Trump was not exonerated. The word exonerate means to absolve, at its root it is where we get absolution. The word absolution is defineD as “an ecclesiastical declaration of forgiveness of sins.” More and more we hear the word moral being introduced into our political discourse. We have even been told that it is immoral to be against abortion. It is, apparently, immoral to believe that homosexuality is a sin. Hilary Clinton, while addressing a homosexual audience infamously dropped the phrase ” a basket of deplorables.”

What is not so well knows that in the same speech, written beforehand, indeed in the same paragraph, she used the word “irredeemable,” to describe anyone who disagreed with her in matters related to sexuality and other issues. Now the word irredeemable means “not able to be saved.” Why are we seeing the introduction of religious language into our political system? Why are the fundamentals of law and order in the west being undermined? Let me suggest to you that one of the darkest periods in the history of the west was the period where the inquisition ruled supreme. That lawless force is coming back.

The force used so fiercely by the Catholic church to bring about conformity using any means necessary is returning. The orthodoxy will be different, we will now bow down to the forces of homosexuality and transgenderism and globalism, but the means will be the same, only much more intense. The inquisition by the Catholic church began in 1231ad and did not end until 1826ad when the last man was executed. Seven hundred years and millions killed, an untold number. The coming inquisition will be much worse and the target will be, once again, genuine saints who will refuse to bow their knees to the gods of this world.

The devil demanded that Jesus bow His knee to him. He would not. It was demanded of Daniel and the three Hebrew children that they bow their knees and pray to the gods of their day, they would not. All throughout the history of man, Satan has demanded that the knee be bowed to him. It is about authority. The same demand with the same results will be demanded of the remnant saints of Christ in the earth, they will not bow their knee and for that they will pay the ultimate price. Be of good cheer saints, for Christ has overcome this world. His kingdom is not of this world. We belong to another kingdom and another King. This world is fallen and it will not get up. The writing is already on the wall. We who stand in Him shall not fall in the evil day. Just as the Lord Himself came to the children in the midst of the furnace, so shall that light come unto us in our darkest day and He will gloriously uphold us.

Consider the Hebrew children in the midst of the fire, communing with the Preincarnate Christ. Consider Stephen as his mortal body is being destroyed yet he himself is in the midst of a glorious vision. Consider the countless number of saints burned at the stake yet so many being heard to be singing the praises of God even as the flames consumed their mortal bodies. The martyrs cry out from beneath the altar for justice, not the corrupted justice of this world but the justice of God and they will have it once their numbers are complete. God is raising up those very saints who will make up that number. What a fierce battle that lies ahead yet we know this saints “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1Jn 4:3-4)

I have learned

Posted by appolus on July 23, 2019

Oftentimes when things become more accessible they become less desirable. There is a fundamental flaw in humanity, you can call it the Adam and Eve flaw. We desire what we cannot have and oftentimes take for granted what we do have, until of course we do not have it. The object remains the same, what determines the attitude depends upon whether we have it or not. The ability to be thankful for what we have is a gift that must be learned practically. It can only be learned in the classroom of life. Many never learn , a fortunate few discover that there is great peace and contentment within the heart that is full of thanks.

The great danger is that we take our relationship with the Lord for granted. Time and time again we see Israel drift away from the Lord in times of prosperity. When we are in battles in life, or struggling to survive, we have a high dependency upon the Lord. We stay close to Him and we cry out to Him to keep us. The key for our walk with Jesus is to stay close to Him whether we are full or whether we are hungry, whether we are clothed or whether we are naked. In short, we must learn to be content in whatever situation we find ourselves in. The condition of our hearts are vitally important. Staying close to the Lord is vitally important. Just as we can neglect our spouses by not talking to them or shutting them out, we can do the same with Jesus. In times when things are going well we can become distracted by shiny things of no importance and begin to drift away from the Lord. I would argue that this has been one of the major problems in the West in the last couple of hundred years and has added to the great falling away that we have seen.

Staying thankful, staying intimate, spending time with the Lord lies at the heart of our relationship with Him. Thankfully we have been called to a battle-field and not a playground. If we are living Godly in Christ Jesus we will experience persecution and this persecution keeps us close to our Lord. That is why it is important to thank God in everything, to rejoice in Him at all times and in everything. Not for everything but in everything. For the steps of a righteous man and woman are ordered of God. We are His servants and it is He who keeps us. He keeps us when we go through the waters, He keeps us in the midst of the fires and He keeps us in quiet tranquil days when there is not a cloud in the sky. If He is the center of all things then we shall be grounded and centered in Him no matter what the circumstances of our lives.

He is the eye of the storm. He is our center. When all around are being devastated by circumstances and tossed like waves in a sea overcome by storms, we stand above those waves on Jesus. Rather than the circumstances of life tearing us apart, with the right attitude of our heart, they become elements which make our faith deeper and stronger. The great roller-coaster of life is the emotional world. If it rules you then you will find yourself on a constant wild life of ups and downs and violent twists and turns. Lost of screaming and noise. Emotions are good and should not be avoided, but they should not rule us. We can have wonderful emotional experiences without strapping in to a roller-coaster. It is the will that keeps us. The will rules the emotions. Jesus in the garden submits to the will of His Father. It brings Him great peace when the matter is settled. You must settle in your mind if you will trust Him in all things. If you do that and then put it into practice, put flesh on the bones of what you believe, then you will be able to say with Paul that you have learned to be content in every situation.

Php 4:11  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Divorce and division

Posted by appolus on July 16, 2019

At some point after you were born, did you have to fill out membership forms to join your family? Were you not a member of your family the moment you were conceived? Was there not great joy in your family the day that you were born? The day that you were born again was there not great joy in heaven?

Are you a member of that heavenly family due to signed paperwork or rather are you a member of that heavenly family due to you being born again? In your family as you grew up did you all believe the same thing? Did you form yourselves into groups according to your opinions? Did you turn on one another based on disagreements? How did that work out?

Did you parents divorce due to irreconcilable differences? How did that effect the family? Did it help? Do you know many of your friends whose parents are divorced due to irreconcilable differences? When did divorce become a legitimate way to resolve our problems? Where was God in the midst of all that? Does God like divorce? Is divorce His solution to problems?

Of course, in all of this I am talking about The Church using the tragic analogy of our modern culture of divorce. If we are truly born again we are one Body in Christ, not some ecumenical or utopian dream, but one as He and the Father are one. We are one in Him. This was His plan.

We were not to be unequally yoked but rather equally bound together in Christ our Lord so that the world may know that He was sent by His Father. And the glory which was given to Christ, He has given to us. Father forgive us for not walking according to your Word. Forgive us for being more sold out to the systems of men rather than to the Word of God.

You instructed us not to be unequally yoked yet in order to maintain a system devised by man we ignore that, somehow believing that by defying the Word of God we are fulfilling the will of God. What blindness has overtaken us Lord and we wonder why we have fallen into a ditch. Open the eyes of our hearts Lord, we want to see you, high and lifted up, where the Glory is, the very glory that you have given unto us.

Storms and chains and blinding rains

Posted by appolus on July 5, 2019

I have just released this e-book. It has 77 poems from the valley, from the depths of the trials and the tribulations the Lord has brought be through. They are raw and hold nothing back. They were mostly written in real time, meaning in the midst of whatever trial or valley I was walking through. It is sharable, so if you get it you can share it with as many people as you like at no cost, especially if they are in the depths of a trial or in one of the more narrower parts of the path.

My prayer is that they will manna to the hungry soul and water to those in the wilderness. The number 77 did nor come randomly. When I put them all together there was 76, and so I added one more from a vision I had many years ago to make up the 77. I would consider this my Magnum Opus.

A declaration of Independence

Posted by appolus on July 4, 2019

Today America celebrates her declaration to Britain. Declarations are powerful and consequential and typically final one way or the other. We live in a day and an age where we need more declarations like the one here celebrated. Whatever side of the pond you live on, it cannot be denied that this declaration put everything on the line for those who made it. Life or death. In our day it is truth that is enslaved. It will take great boldness and a willingness to put everything on the line to stand against this tyranny of lies.

Make no mistake, the lies that now enslave the world are powerful indeed and indeed are growing more powerful by the day. What was the colonies in comparison to the might of the British empire? What are those who stand upon the truth in comparison to a world of lies? We are a colony apart from an ever darkening and increasingly menacing world. Only a total separation and a declaration of independence from this world will do. Everything will be put on the line by those who make such a declaration. Life or death. Truth or lies. Heaven or hell.
