The debt crisis-Judgement upon America?

Posted by appolus on July 29, 2011

In Isa 19:1 we see that the “Idols of Egypt shall tremble at His presence. And the heart of Egypt shall melt in its midst.” Can I suggest that since 9/11 there has been an unleashing of fear in America. The people have had their foundations shaken, and they now suffer from unbridled insecurity. To be hit in the financial capital and the political capital was like being struck with arrows directly in the heart. It has left the people staggering and unable to find their footing. The near financial collapse of 2008 has only re-inforced that. Read the rest of this entry »

If My people……….? A word from a sister in Christ

Posted by appolus on July 28, 2011

If you look through this site, you will see that I have a very limited amount of people that I have included on the site. These would include A.W.Tozer, David Wilkerson, a dear brother in Christ I know who is a preacher, Brian Long and one other brother, brother Wayne. There are many reaons for that, not least is the fact that we live in an age of self-proclaimed experts, teachers and prophets. Rightly or wrongly, I almost always dismiss those who proclaim themselves to be prophets. I love the spirit of a man or woman who denies being a prophet even as they speak or write prophetically, this sits well with me and seems right to my spirit. This post is from a sister who would not like her name to be mentioned. She sent me this ” word from the Lord,” last year. I pray that it blesses you and cause you to think.

Birth pangs, the beginning of sorrows?

Posted by appolus on July 27, 2011

Can I suggest brothers and sisters that the war on the name of Jesus Christ has already begun. Its for His name that we will be delivered up after the birth pangs. As the days darken and we see these things come to pass, let us lift up the name of Jesus Christ all the more. For it is when He is lifted up that men are drawn to Him. There is no other name under heaven by which a man can be saved. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ when the bearers of that name walk in the beauty of Holiness and in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is why the enemy will wage a savage war against the saints in the last days. He will attempt to blot out that name which is above every name because he knows the time is coming when every knee will bow, whether in heaven, on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father Read the rest of this entry »

The rise of Hadrians wall and the fall of America

Posted by appolus on July 25, 2011

Religions can be contained, but the Church of God is free to go wherever they are led by the Holy Spirit. When you see these walls brothers and sisters, make sure you see them in your rear view mirror. Gods work lies beyond the walls of humanism. To follow Him and Him alone is to put yourself beyond the constrains of men’s wisdom, to blindly follow where He leads, a place without maps. Yes, it can be a barbarous world, but He is God of all the world and it will never be tamed by erecting walls and hiding behind them.

A voice in the wilderness!-Tozer

Posted by appolus on July 23, 2011

Below dear brother Tozer speaks of mega-churches and organisations and how they should be tested. He wrote this back in the 60s and one could say was speaking prophetically. In a day and age when so many organisations are floundering and pandering to the political correctness of the day, one must be ready to ask the hard questions and look and see where these organisations have come from and are they led by the Holy Spirit? I believe that God Himself is lifting the lid on every organisation that calls itself after His name. Will they stand or fall in the light of His gaze? Only time will tell……..

There is a red sky in the morning!

Posted by appolus on July 23, 2011

In an apostate church, the name of Jesus, as the Christ, the Lord of all and the King of Kings is going to be unacceptable. People can talk about a generic god until the cows come home, but dare to mention the name of Jesus and see what trouble ensues. The logic is going to be, in my opinion, in the end days ,that we simply agree that we all worship the same God and that we must stop emphasizing Jesus as the only way to heaven and the Muslims will stop emphasizing Mohammed. As impossible as it is to see right now, there is coming a one world church, and the groundwork is being laid for it even as we speak

Christ removed from Campus Crusade for Christ

Posted by appolus on July 21, 2011

In case you have not heard,  Campus crusade for Christ has removed the name of Christ from the name of their organisation. This is one more sad event in the demise of the Evangelical movement. As we know, in the last days, the name of Jesus will become more and more of an offense around the world. Carnal Christianity will crumble to the pressures exerted on them. When its all about the numbers, when the organisation and the survival of the organisation becomes paramount, then the name of Jesus has to go. The enemy knows that very soon every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Just prior to the Lord returning, there will be and is as we speak, mounting pressure to not mention the name of Jesus as it is an offence around the world. Long may it be an offence around the world. Calvary is an offence to those who are perishing, its when it ceases to be an offence that we should be concerned. For if there is no offence then there is only religion, humanistic organisations whose primary purpose is not to lift up the name of Christ but to propogate their own survival and paycheck.

Holy is the Lord

Posted by appolus on July 19, 2011

Holy is your name, in all the earth I worship you
Holy is your name, in all the earth I come to you
Holy is your name, in all the earth I sing to you
Holy, Holy, Holy is your name

Holy are you Lord, I come before your throne and bow
Holy are you Lord, I come into your presence now
Holy are you Lord I listen to the angels sing
Holy, Holy, Holy are you Lord

Holy are you Lord, my heart it leaps within my chest
Holy are you Lord, Its in your arms I find my rest
Holy are you Lord, the saints around the world they sing
Holy, Holy,Holy are you Lord

Now listen to the saints, they sing Holy are you Lord
Now listen to them cry to you, Holy are you Lord
There is a cry around the world, they lift their voice and sing
Holy, Holy, Holy are you Lord

I come before your throne to sing, Holy is your name
I come before your throne to sing, I’ll never be the same
Pour our out your fire of love on me, this is what I sing
Holy, Holy, to the risen King

He is strong when I am weak

Posted by appolus on July 13, 2011

When I kiss the hand that wounds me
Then I soar to heavens heights
But when I fight that hand that fights me
I am consumed by darkest nights

My flesh cries out that I am weak
And encourages me to scorn
Its time to turn the other cheek
Its for victory I was born

I will praise my God despite my woes
And rise up and declare Him great
And put to flight my many foes
And stand at heavens gate

Life is found in our silence, and the glory of God!

Posted by appolus on July 8, 2011

In the agony of illumination , we cry out to God and from the very alter of the living God, with tongs mind you, the angel touches you with fire, refining fire. THIS IS REVIVAL. One man or woman will agonize at his or her state, he or she will cry out to God, and God will send fire from the alter itself . As that one stands in the midst of us, the impenitent will harden and will flee, and those who linger in the light from the coal from the alter will be revived and refined and the fire will spread and it will consume. And a people will cry out and worship God and they too will cry “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty.”

Tears instead of beers!

Posted by appolus on July 6, 2011

I just wanted to relay this story from our gathering in Barnsdall last year. For someone who writes, I have never felt any desire to write about our meetings last year. Perhaps it was because just two days after returning from the Barnsdall meetings, I was plunged into a personal tragedy that resulted in one of the darkest periods of my Christian walks. Yet, the Lord was faithful through it all. He reached out to me in my darkness time and time again through His word and specifically through Psalms 57 and Psalm 142.
