100 Year old Prophecy

My own note would add that when this next great revival happens, I believe that it will be accompanied with severe persecution. It will be a time such as has never been seen before, a time when the enemy comes at the Lord’s church with everything that he has in an attempt to once and for all eradicate it. Yet be of good cheer brothers and sisters, the Lord has overcome the world. Greater is He that is within you that He that is in the world. The Lord equips those that He calls. His grace will be sufficiant for us as we pass through the waters of afflcition and the fires of hell that will come against us. ANDREW’s NOTE: There are 2 things that people won’t like about the prophecy below. For one thing, it is declaring that there is genuine hope for a real Revival in this generation. I hear from Christians in our circles all the time that there is no such hope. Many have completely given way to Cynicism. But they call their cynicism by another name. They call it “discernment”. They long ago stopped hoping or believing that God might really move. They say it is only the “false prophets” that give encouraging words about “Revival coming”. And so this must be a ‘false’ word too, they say. But cynicism and unbelief are not “discernment”. They are simply cynicism and unbelief. We need to repent.
The second reason that people will not like this prophecy is that it mentions the “latter rain”. This is not the same as the “Latter rain” heresy. All the old pentecostals that I have read about used the term “latter rain” all the time – to talk about a real Last-Days outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It was only much later that the term got associated with the “Latter Rain” heresy out of Canada.
But I find lately that the Cynicism is so great, the Unbelief so strong, the so-called “Discernment” is so nit-picking (and by the way, “Google-searching” is not ‘Discernment’ either) – that everyone nit-picks every “positive” word to death. Just like the Pharisees.
You simply are not allowed to be “hopeful” any more.
Could the below prophecy be true? I surely hope so. I have to believe that God has not given up yet. And neither has this generation seen a truly holy and radiant “Bride” clothed in the glory of Christ. I am not one who is wanting to “whimper” my way into eternity without at least seeing that. – Nit-picking, anyone? – Andrew Strom. ————————————————
The 100-YEAR-OLD PROPHECY -Michael Edds.
The great Azusa Street Awakening, which over the years resulted in 600 million being swept into the Kingdom of God and gave birth to the Pentecostal Movement, began in 1906. It was one of the greatest outpourings of the Spirit of God since Pentecost. Multitudes were saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit. Incredible miracles occurred.
This great revival moved from Los Angeles to its new focal point of Chicago, Illinois. The two great centers of revival in Chicago were the North Avenue Mission and the Stone Church. Pentecost swept from Chicago to Canada, Europe, South America and Africa. One of the greatest outpourings occurred at Stone Church in 1913. The renown evangelist Maria Woodworth Etter began a revival on July 2, 1913 at Stone Church.
The services were to last until the end of July but continued for six months. This was a time of divine appointment for the city of Chicago; God rent the heavens and came down!! Scenes from the days of the Early Church began to occur at Stone Church. Word began to spread throughout Chicago of miraculous healings, deliverance from demonic possession, conversions, and of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit happening in these meetings. Advertisement was no longer necessary! The city was incredibly shaken. Word spread of the miraculous intervention of God. Thousands came on trolleys, buggies, and trains, while many walked. Some came from distances of 1,600 miles away. 1200 to 1500 packed into Stone Church each night. The basement was filled and many stood out on the street. Street meetings were held to accommodate them. Three services were held on Sundays!
As Christians prayed around the altar one evening, Sister Woodworth-Etter and others gave the following powerful prophecy and divine promise, which they prophesied would occur within 100 years of the 1913 Chicago Visitation. She prophesied of this coming End Time Revival….
“We are not yet up to the fullness of the Former Rain and that when the Latter Rain comes, it will far exceed anything we have seen!”William Seymour, the leader of the Azusa Street Awakening, also prophesied that in 100 years there would be an outpouring of God’s Spirit and His Shekinah Glory that would be greater and more far reaching than what was experienced at Azusa. It has been almost 100 years since these prophecies were given… I believe that we have reached the time of the fulfillment of these 100 year old prophecies. We must be diligent to pray, intercede and protect what the Lord is doing. We must encourage and edify one another as never before. We must crucify every critical, judgmental and religious spirit that may be within us. We must put on the holiness and righteousness of Christ. Our time of divine destiny has come. We are about to experience what Brother Seymour and Sister Woodworth-Etter foresaw. God is about to rend the heavens and come down!…

I believe this is true we will see a great outpouring of Gods spirit and I hope it is in 2oi3. Why do you say the latter rain movement from Canada was heresy. are you talking about the movement of god in saskatchewan in the 1940’s? some movements that stemed from them may have been heresy but I dont think the original movement was heresy.

I agree with you, Tim, there has been much misunderstanding about the 1948 revival in North Battleford, Sask. I know people who were there (very old men now) and they testify it was a precious move of the Spirit. A corporate anointing. Gifts of the Spirit being manifested. Healings. Prophecy and the laying on of hands. The Presence of God very strong. The heavenly choir. People testified the singing was a times beyond the ability of the human voice to reproduce. It was literally “out of this world.”
Nevertheless certain men took things their own way and as a result have brought much reproach on the move. That kind of thing has happened all through history.
The move came to be tagged, the Latter Rain. However, those involved never called it that. They said, “This is the promise of the coming latter rain.”
And so I also agree that we will yet see a mighty move of the Spirit. I love the words, “O that Thou wouldst rend the heavens and come down…” How I long for this.
I also agree with what Frank said, that the coming move is going to be attended by severe persecution. We need to grid up the loins of our mind and be prepared for what is ahead.

Hi Tim, I believe brother Andrew was making reference to the ” revivals,” that came out of Canada in the 90s which would include NAR which is the ” New Apostolic Reformation,” and the ” Manifest sons of God,” with c. Peter Wagner and company…………… bro Frank

I love that Scripture as well Allan. A small group of us prayed it on a hill overlooking our town back in Scotland prior to the Times Square outreach there. The Lord certainly rent the heavens…………….bro Frank

Nothing like it has ever occurred before, not even in the beginning when the Holy Ghost was first poured out on Pentecost after the resurrection of our Lord. It will come during great tribulation upon the Earth…
A power from heaven will be let loose; God shall step down and be very jealous for His bride. This will come not by human endeavor, nor by the will of man, and not anything organized by human undertaking. An awareness of God shall grip His church, and nothing shall be able to stop it!

May we be a people of righteousness that exalts the holiness of God and not pander to the flesh and works of man. May we exalt the holiness of the living God and the law of God and the justice of God and the wisdom of His requirements, and the justice of His wrath and anger, and may we realize the enormity of our sins and open rebellion and treason and anarchy.
Oh let the power of the God of heaven so descend upon us that that we will be slain in the Spirit because we had had a revelation of the holiness of God and the enormity of our sins and backsliding…God give us repentance, God give us revival!
Let the joy and love of the Holy Ghost so permeate my being that the world will be but a distant memory – a dungheap of filth and vileness and distain before a holy and true and living God. God so fill me up…
it comes…the time of the great harvest of souls, the time of the latter rain, a time of Jacob’s trouble…

Repentance is a rocky road best travelled in the day, when there is light, lest darkness comes, and I stumble in the dark…that is to say the Spirit of God will not always strive with man. I will therefore humble myself before the God of heaven and pray, who has called me with a holy calling…to walk this road of repentance..that leads to eternal life.

Amen to that word dear brother David, amen to the coming of the King of glory. Every saint on earth has the dna of God coursing through their blood by the blood of the lamb and they know that He comes, they know. And in the knowing is not fear but great expectation and joy in its fullnesss because then, and only then with the vileness of sin that so seperates man from His God be finally dealt with and the glorious plan that was put in motion by Our heavenl Father, His glorious Son and the Mighty Holy Spirit will come into completion. Oh the mystery of the plan of God, the mystery of the free will of man, the mystery of God’s plan that would find men with limited knolwedge of Him willing to lose their lives for the sake of eternal life. Thank you Jesus for coming to earth to show us the way and to make the way when there was no other way. Even in the beginning there was no other way. Thank you that even the choice to come to you was initiated by your power, by your presence by bloody Calvary. Come Lord Jesus come, come Lord Jesus in all of your glory to a world that is dying to a world that is famished for the Word of God, to a world that is in the middle of the mightiest drought. The saints scan the heavens with their hearts, looking for your coming as thristy men look for a cloud in the midst of a drought. Is that not you in the distance Lord? Is that not you coming for your Bride. I hope against hope with the hope of Christ in me to see it in my day. To see the rains fall, to see the rains flow down the mountains because you have torn open the heavens that have been as brass and the skies above that have been as iron. We raise our hands as hungry birds open their beaks skywards. They seek to be fed and we seek you and you alone Lord. May men be humbled and fall to their knees and raise Holy hands, may they find forgiveness for not seeking first the Kingdom of God and your righteosness. I have no King but Jesus!

This is what is so laking in the church today. our big drawing card is fun and games,blessisngs,prosperity and Jesus is coming to take us out before tribulation begins. this is the lukewarm Laodicean church age and my heart is burdened to wake them up !
Colossians 3 1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
The only way to endure persecution is if our lives are hid in Christ. The only way our lives can be hid in him, is to seek and set our affections on those things above where Christ sit’s on the right hand of God.
The Laodicean church can not even wash their robes in the blood of the lamb they do not have a robe on, they are “naked”

Do you believe persecution will come “with” the great move of God, or that it will come as a result of the “great outpouring” of the Holy Spirit? I can see how such a move could cause a hostile retaliation against God’s people.

A call to righteousness , faith and steadfastness . The glory will come . God can not use dirty vessels , the meek inherit the earth , the humble , the faithful , those who have not turned back , those who endure no matter what . Those who know him and his word , and those who do the will of the father he will bless . He is just and faithful to forgive us so we should get prayed up and trust him . He is moving all the pieces into place . He will amaze and astound us all . He does not hide his glory , he shares it liberally . Come boldly to the throne of grace and ask …… He is not done yet !!

Many have been praying and hoping to see Revival for many decades .And many have gone home without seeing much of any fulfillment in life at all . The last season saw so many folks see their prayers either unanswered , prophetic words fall short and delay after delay after delay .
I recall Hillsong church using the year of 2013 sponsoring the word REVIVAL . No dice there .
I have had a few personal prophetic words over the years in church , some folks stopping me at shopping centres and each word has followed the same theme without fail . The first was in 1984 . OK , still waiting , not 100 years but dry bones will have flesh .
When He returns , will He find faith upon the earth ?
So much real estate has shifted in a very short space of time .
True prophets don,t worry about tickling the ears of folks who want to hear one kind of message .
His word does not return void .
Australia was prophetically named the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit .
That was 450 years ago and Australia,s prophetic destiny is still to be fulfilled .
The prophetic word , the 100 year prophecy has been examined and it is true and correct and confirmed by several men and women over the tide of time .
