I am bombarded with talk or letters about the coming shortages in our national life: bread, fuel, energy. I read between the lines from people not practiced in scaring folk. They feel that the “seven years of plenty” are over for us. The “seven years of famine” are ahead. But the greatest famine of all in this nation at this given moment is a FAMINE OF THE HEARING OF THE WORDS OF GOD (Amos 8:11).

Sheep from Goats
Posted by appolus on January 21, 2009
And the oil that dwells within your chest is set aflame by this light, this fire from the throne itself. “Did not our hearts burn within us as we walked with Him?” Yet we are not walking now, we are in the throne room itself, God has come down. Our whole body burns with a beautiful warmth. All things are possible, eternity stretches out before us and we never want to leave this place, we never want to leave this place. The candlestick burns. God speaks, sin melts like wax, refining, yes refining. We offer ourselves and the dross that lies within and the Lord says “Come.”

Just One Drop (Just as I am)
Posted by appolus on October 29, 2008
Inside my heart, like a might river, grace and love and mercy flowed changing everything, healing everything. I opened my eyes and knew that Jesus was my Lord and Saviour, the battle was over and I have never again had a battle like that. It was after this Sunday that every Sunday after that, for about six months, I knelt at the alter and the Lord “worked,” on me. Every sermon was for me. Every tear was for Him. A lifetime of sin and pain and hurts and the Lord was dealing with it all. Oh the Love of God. As I write this I am thinking of that Old Hymn “Just as I am.” Indeed……………..”Oh Lamb of God I come, I come.”

A Devastating Indictment of the American Church(Paul Washer)
Posted by appolus on October 23, 2008
On Wednesday evening, the 22nd of October, Paul Washer delivered a sermon that should shake the American church http://www.tenindictments.com/ Ten points were delivered and questions the whole premise of who we are and what we do and the validity of conversions. There is a coming reformation of the church and coming judgement and it will indeed begin in the house of the Lord. The preaching of Calvary and Jesus and Him crucified will return. The true power of the Holy Spirit, exemplified by the Apostle Peter as he preached to the crowd after Pentecost , will return. At Pentecost, Peter spoke with “Katanusso,” power, this is the power to “stab the hearers in the heart.” The word itself means to “violently agitate, to penetrate.” This power was so radical that the crowd cried out “what must we do.” We have seen this power in genuine revivals, now, if we are so blessed, in the coming reformation, we will see this power again.
This is an indictment that reaches across the board. To Evangelicals on the one side, and to Charismatics on the other. May the Lord move in power.

Sarah Palin ?
Posted by appolus on October 11, 2008
A new moral power will flow back into the Church when we stop preaching social adjustment and begin to preach social repudiation and cross carrying. Modern Christians hope to save the world by being like it, but it will never work. The Church’s power over the world springs out of her unlikeness to it, never from her integration into it.

Tears of my Father.
Posted by appolus on August 25, 2008
I have a fifteen year old son Daniel who has Down Syndrome. One week before Daniel was born,(we did not know we were having a Down Syndrome baby) I came home from church on a Sunday afternoon , full of the Holy Spirit. The Lord whispered in my ear to sit down with a pen and write whatever He put on my heart. I was to write to my Mom and Dad, I had no idea what I was going to write.

The Walls of Jericho(The entryway to your place of peace)
Posted by appolus on August 15, 2008
It is impossible to make any further progress if you do not engage and destroy the walls and the enemy that lurks behind them in this, the mightiest of strongholds. It would be strategic suicide for you to try and move on into the Holy place by just going around these walls. Strongholds have to be dealt with, they are a place that the enemies of your soul can attack you from and then retreat back to. You would constantly have to look over your shoulder and would face the impossible situation of fighting your enemy on two fronts, in front of you and behind you.

Gods mysterious Will, how can we know what it is?
Posted by appolus on August 6, 2008
So, when a trial comes, when tragedy strikes, when tribulation comes knocking at the door of a genuine Christian, how should one react? What do you believe about the “Will of God?” Is it your fault? Is it Satan’s fault? Is it God rebuking you? Are you being assaulted by demons? Does danger lurk everywhere? Can we be destroyed at any second by our enemy? Read the rest of this entry »

In the Power of His Presence, darkness must flee!
Posted by appolus on July 31, 2008
The sweet all consuming joy of His presence. This heart of a lion that beats within the chest of a lamb. This all consuming power of love that rises victoriously above all the battles of life. What battle field do you find yourself on today? Do you battle the unseen enemy of unforgiveness? Has someone wronged you and bitterness threatens to consume you?

Revival comes in the Refiners fire!
Posted by appolus on July 28, 2008
In the agony of illumination , we cry out to God and from the very alter of the living God, with tongs mind you, the angel touches you with fire, refining fire. THIS IS REVIVAL. One man or woman will agonize at his or her state, he or she will cry out to God, and God will send fire from the alter itself . The impenitent will harden and will flee, and those who linger in the light from the coal from the alter will be revived and refined and the fire will spread and it will consume. And a people will cry out and worship God and they too will cry “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty.”

The Kingdom of God is Here
Posted by appolus on July 24, 2008
The Kingdom of Heaven arrived and was delivered by the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. The kingdom of heaven is not America, nor is it my homeland of Scotland, the Kingdom of heaven is to be found in my heart and the hearts of believers all over the world. Do not get caught up or entangled in the affairs of this world brothers and sisters, for there’s a war. Even the politicians and the generals know that they can never truly win a war in the middle east unless they win the war for the “hearts and minds,” of the people. Read the rest of this entry »

My Poems of being in His presence, dry times and trials
Posted by appolus on July 21, 2008
The sun rises majestically from behind ancient mountains. What a glorious
describable scene. What is indescribable is my glorious indescribable Jesus. He rises majestically and wondrously out of the sea of the world and the mountain of His presence touches the sky and the sky that He touches is cloudless and without trouble.

Revival Prayer !
Posted by appolus on July 13, 2008
I have taken many Scriptures and knitted them together. I do not do this to change any meaning or context. I only do this as a literary tool to praise the Lord God on High. What better way to pray than to use the Word of God? May you be blessed…………

The Presence of God!
Posted by appolus on July 8, 2008
If Christians would passover into the promised land, into the most intimate chambers, they must be abandoned to the battle. It is time for the Church of Christ to arise and set their sights on entering into the manifest presence of God. They must be willing to lay down their lives, die to themselves and all of their fears if they are to enter that place where they will be engulfed in the flames of Shekinah glory. This is a higher place than miracles, although miracles will follow in the path of this new generation, but as an unintended consequence of the outflowing of Gods presence. Like a mighty incoming tide the warriors will be swept into His presence. And as with every tide that flows in, it will flow out. And as we flow out on a tide of majestic reverence then we will take a portion of that glory back into the darkness of the world, a world that the Lord so loves.
