A word to the Lord’s children in these last days………………

I bore you up on eagles wings
And took you to my heart

Know that we shall never part

The glory and the majesty! Jesus is coming!

Posted by appolus on November 1, 2012

One day the Lord will rend the heavens and His glory will flow down the mountains and fill every valley with His majesty. The seas will flee at His presence, the mountains will humbly bow and say ” Glory , glory to the risen King.” The sun will turn its face away in shame for it is outshone by the brilliance of His illumination. The moon and the stars will cry out ” Holy, Holy is He who was and is and forever shall be.” And every voice from every tongue will say “Jesus,” and acknowledge the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And the beasts of the earth will fall down and cover their faces and then the lion will rise up and approach the lamb and they will lay down together. And every knee shall bow in every tribe Read the rest of this entry »

Let the skies fall down

Posted by appolus on October 30, 2012

Let the skies fall down
Let them fall before your crown
Let the seas rise up
They could never fill your cup
You drunk down all the fires of hell
And forever broke sin’s deadly spell

Let the rivers run deep
As they see you come they weep
Let the stars fall from the sky
Let every hand be raised on high
At Golgotha you broke every chain
And now forever you shall reign

Let every valley flood
And be filled with precious blood
From the veins of Calvary
That were drained for you and me
That we may lift our voice and sing
Of Christ the Lord our risen King

Let the mountains touch the sky
And shout aloud as they reply
To the mighty rushing wind
That testifies that all men sinned
And speaks to men in pain
Ye men you must be born again!

The Remnant Church and the End-Time Testimony of Jesus Christ

Posted by appolus on October 28, 2012

The Remnant church is, at it’s core and most fundamentally, God’s witness here on earth. Truly we have been called first and foremost to be a witness. Now most saints know that this word in its Greek form translates to martyr. Does that mean that every saint, every witness since the beginning of the church has been called to martyrdom? Certainly not. Yet let us not forget brothers and sisters that in every century God’s people here on earth have been persecuted and martyred for their faith. The danger for us saints in the Western world in the last 100 years has been that we have not been so-called. Other saints around the world cannot say that, whether that is Africa or Asia or China or the Middle East, they have continued to be persecuted and martyred for their faith. For most of Europe and North America, this has not been the case with some noticeable exceptions during periods of war and so on. Now, one would imagine that living in an atmosphere where one is allowed to worship freely without any state or religious interference that Christendom would thrive, yet, if we look at the state of Europe and North America we see something that at best, is a shallow faith. In the case of Europe we definitely see a post Christian society. In North America what is predominant is a cultural Christianity, a cross-less Christianity and a Christ-less Christianity and some cross-pollination or in many cases a hybrid of the all of these. Cultural Christianity would be a Christianity that is simply shaped to suit our culture. In this kind of Christianity Jesus would rarely be mentioned and God would be seen as some kind of Santa Claus. A cross-less Christianity would cover movements like the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it groups, Word of faith believers and health and wealth believers. Or again, a hybrid of all three. A Christ less Christianity would cover dead denominations for whom the Word of God has ceased to be authoritative even in pretense and where all things are acceptable, this would include things like gay marriage and gay ministers, abortion, divorce and so on.

The Spirit of Glory!!!

Posted by appolus on October 19, 2012

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.(1Pe 4:13,14)

Brothers and sisters, I want you to notice the above scripture, especially the highlighted portion. Can you see what the Holy Spirit is saying? He specifically talks about the ” spirit of glory.” What is this spirit of glory that ” shall be revealed?” Obviously the context of 1Peter is suffering, For those who can rejoice in the midst of suffering there is a specific kind of glory revealed. Just like the refining fires reveals the gold that lies within the rock, then the refining fire reveals the gold that lies within the saint as it burns away the rock and the dross and we are left with pure gold. We see in Habakkak, in the midst of terrible suffering and judgement this scripture “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” (Hab 2:14)

My chains are in Christ

Posted by appolus on October 16, 2012

Brother and sisters, can you say that your chains are in Christ and because of your chains others are emboldened? This is one of the cries of God’s Remnant children. Its one of the marks of the royal priesthood. When Paul was in chains for Christ his attitude in the midst of it, his joy, his peace, his awareness of the presence of God was encouraging to those saints who were not yet in chains. As they saw the example of Paul ( in Philippians 1) they were deeply encouraged and emboldened to see that despite any set of trials, they served an overcoming God.  This dear saints, is the perseverance of the saints. You might not suffer actual chains ( although that could change soon) but you may lose your job, you may get a devastating diagnosis from the doctor, any number of bad reports you may receive, how will the world see you when you are in ” your chains?” Will they see the glory of God? God is raising up, for such a time as this, just such a paradoxical people. A people who will rejoice when the world weeps. A people who will serve when the world demands service. A people whose joy cannot be robbed by poverty or affliction. A people unmoved by the ” American dream,” and the prosperity of this world. A people who know that their Lord is magnified in their weaknesses. A people who have learned to be content whether with much or with little, whether people are singing their praises or wringing their hands. Can you glorify the Lord in the midst of refining fires? By the power of the Spirit of God and a broken and a contrite heart you can and you will.

To be chained in Christ
Is to be free indeed
Free to die and free to bleed
Free to walk the pilgrim way
Free to die to self each day

Here is love, vast as the ocean!

Posted by appolus on October 13, 2012

Oh the glory saints, the glory of God’s love vast as the ocean. I came across this version today in Welsh

I cant speak Welsh, but my spirit witnesses with this and soars to think of this and makes me think of the glory of God and why they could not get them to leave prayer meetings in the Welsh revival. Its the presence of God, it’s the majesty and the glory and the holiness. Its the beauty of Holiness. Oh for the days saints when we come to dwell forever in this majesty. This is why Paul can count all things as rubbish. To be found in Him, to know Him, to rest in the excellency of the knowledge of our Jesus. Oh that that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, that my spirit would soar in glorious majesty and be oblivious to my circumstance but only be found in Him. I would love to be so lost in Him that when they come and look for me I cannot be found, only Jesus, only Jesus, all for Jesus…………..bro Frank

I want to be so lost in you
And have my heart be pure and true
That when they come and look for me
It’s Christ alone that they shall see

Look into the depths of me
Is it Christ my Lord you see?
Walk with me along the way
Have you walked with Christ today?

Listen to me share my heart
Do you wanna be a part?
Of Christ the Lord my risen King
And to His throne your treasures bring

When I’m caught up in the waves
Can you see the Christ that saves?
When all the world has turned on me
Is it Christ that they shall see?

When it’s time for me to die
Will I raise my hands on high?
And sing aloud with all my might
Of Christ my King, a glorious sight

Coming persecution and the Glory of God

Posted by appolus on October 9, 2012

This is one of the most powerful sermons you will hear. It is prophetic and it is timely and it encapsulates everything I try and convey here on my website. Brian is my dearest friend and my brother in Christ and our hearts are absolutely knitted in all matters but especially these matters of what it means to part of the remnant church of Christ and how the Lord God is raising up His people for such a time as this. Please take and share this message with everyone you know and love………bro Frank

To know the unknowable You

Posted by appolus on September 30, 2012

Despite the vastness of the universe, we know that the Lord holds it all in the hollow of His hand. Our minds simply cannot conceive of the vastness of our God. How can it be possible for mere humans to know God? And what is this ” knowing?” The Scriptures in Ephesians three are not saying that we can know about Him, it is saying that we can know Him and the fullness of Him. As I read Ephesian’s three I penned the song/poem below.  To know God is the most intimate of terms. The Scriptures tell us that Joseph did not ” know” Mary until after Jesus was born. Of course this was a reference to physical intimacy, which of course makes the husband and the wife ” one flesh.” This coming together is of course a sacred thing and this one flesh is a mysterious thing. Now consider the even deeper aspect of this ” knowing.” The spiritual knowing is something very mysterious.

To know and be filled with the ” fullness of God,” is a supernatural thing. There is nothing physical about it, it is above and beyond that. So one may ask this very legitimate question of all who profess to be Christians ” Do you ” know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Eph 3:19) One must ” know,” the love of Christ, not know about it ( because the scriptures say it passes knowledge) if one is to be filled with the ” fullness of God.” This is the Christian man or woman. The man or the woman who can say ” For we do not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of His majesty ( 2 Pet 1:16)

To know the unknowable you
Is all I want to do
To plunge the depths of your love
Is to soar in the heavens above
Oh to know what cannot be known
It to kneel before your throne

The role of the Remnant church in the last days

Posted by appolus on September 26, 2012

The Remnant’s role has changed down through the centuries, but always at her core she has been called to be a witness, an eye-witness to Gods glory. This is the essential heartbeat of Gods Remnant bride and always will be. In this role she has been used as a sanctuary, the sanctuary, the Holy of Holy’s. She is a tabernacle in the wilderness, she is Gods temple here on earth. She is a place for the weary and the lost and forsaken. At the same time she has always been despised by the religious spirit. These are people who confess God with their mouths but who have not received God’s glory, who have never encountered the glory of the living God. In these last days God has a special role for His Remnant people and of course this will only increase the hatred by those of the religious spirit. God says in His word through His prophet Zechariah that ” In that last day a fountain shall be opened up for the house of David,” and God Himself says again through the prophet that ( speaking of Christendom) “Two thirds in it shall be cut off and die. But one-third shall be left in it. I will bring the one-third through the fire, I will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer them. I will say ” This is my people.” (Zec 13:8-9)

The Dark Abyss

Posted by appolus on September 25, 2012

I looked in to the dark abyss
And it looked right back at me
Full of swirling chaos
And darker than the darkest sea

There were mountainous waves and lightening too
That raced across the skies
There was great explosions of thunder
That drowned out all mens cries

The mountainous waves rose to their height
And men would scream and cry with fright
Arms waving wildly and distorted features
These men were the most miserable of creatures

He saw me in the storm

Posted by appolus on September 19, 2012

Lord have you seen my tears?
Can’t you see I’m drowning in my fears?
I try to run but there’s no where left to hide
I fall to my knees because I’m dying here inside

I lift my eyes and there’s darkness all around
I try to get up but I fall back to the ground
I try to scream but I cannot make a sound
I’m lost and alone and I never shall be found

Reach down and touch me Lord wont you please?
For if you don’t I’ll die here on my knees
My heart is broken and has spilled out all my love
My only hope is a touch from up above

Have you touched the glory?

Posted by appolus on September 17, 2012

In John 17 Jesus says “And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, that they may be one, even as We are one, I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.”
(Joh 17:22-23)

Can I ask you a question? What does that mean to you? What is this glory that God the Father gave to His beloved Son and that He gave to us? In the Gospel of Mark Jesus is asked a question “They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.” (Mar 10:37)
You see, Jesus is in His glory in the throne-room. He has made a way for His disciples and all who follow Him to come into that glory, to come into that throne-room, to come before our heavenly Father. Have you been there brothers and sister? Have you seen His glory? This is a serious question, for if the Lord says He has given us something, do you have it?

All the Kings horses

Posted by appolus on September 12, 2012

I wrote this song/poem a few weeks ago. My inspiration was my sister who gave her life to Jesus six weeks ago at the age of 49. She had been ravaged by drugs and alcohol over 12 years. I thought back to a vision that I had many years ago about my own life. In the vision there was a clay jar and it was thrown to the ground and it shattered. IN the vision I could see there was still some fairly large pieces left so these pieces were picked up and thrown down. This was done three times in all until there was only ” ten thousand,” small pieces. Humanly speaking this could not be put back together again. Then in the vision I saw an older man, I could not really see His face but he had spectacles at the end of His nose and he was taking each tiny fragment, and with skills that only He had, He was putting the pieces back together again. As soon as I wrote it I put it on Facebook and less than five minutes later a sister in Christ saw it in Scotland and contacted me and asked me if she could put music to this and make a song out of it, she told me that she already had the melody that the Lord had laid on her heart. So, if you read this and listen to the song, please know that no matter how broken you are, there is a God in heaven that loves you, so much so that He sent His beloved Son to die for you. You can be put back together again, there is hope for you, your hope lies in the Lord Jesus.

A wingless bird?

Posted by appolus on September 5, 2012

We dwell in thee Oh God
As the fish dwells in the sea
We find our place in you
As a lock is to a key

To walk outside your presence
Is like a bird that has no wings
This bird that cannot fly
Is the bird that cannot sing

When we have left our first love
Then we stand outside the door
When this lion opens up its mouth
This lion finds it cannot roar

Falling tears

Posted by appolus on August 29, 2012

Can the rain fall from cloudless skies
Can your tears fall from hardened eyes
I cried out to the Lord , in my time of need
I prayed for the rain, my soul to feed

And my God, who is never far away
Opened up His heart as He listened to me pray
And from heaven on high He sent down the rain
There’s a river of grace that’s gonna wash away the pain

And out of my heart flows a river so deep
My once dry eyes they now continually weep
And everywhere the river flows there’s grace from above
And everyone it touches they are filled with His love

This rain that falls , it falls from endless blue skies
It fills my empty heart and falls down from my eyes
The Lord Himself sent down the rain from above
And now the cloudless skies are filled with clouds of His love

So if it’s rain your looking for, this moment, today
Wont you fall down on your knees and cry out and pray
The Lord of every rain drop that falls down from above
Will sweep you down the river to an ocean of love

This ocean is boundless, its forever and a day
And in this sea of beauty you will hear the Lord say
I am the Father’s tears that was shed from above
And I will carry you home across this ocean of love

God is building a Spiritual house-Alan Martin

Posted by appolus on August 23, 2012

God is building His LIFE in us by His Spirit. He is building the “Spirit of unity” among His people, a people united not by a location, or common interest – but a people joined to the same source of eternal life – His Son Jesus Christ. This “spiritual union” is what God is building, not the form it might express itself in which can vary greatly. For example, not all believers will be joined in the same location, or gather at the same time, but God is building a “spiritual house” where every believer is joined together in Christ to form one people, one body. God builds this “spiritual unity” continually, universally, amidst great variety in the forms it may take.

The presence of God and the glory of the Psalms

Posted by appolus on August 21, 2012

Hi saints, if you have been coming to this site for any length of time you will know that I have two passions. One is the presence and the glory of God, and the other is poetry which I write when I feel moved of the Lord. I have just published a book called ” A poem for every Psalm” which combines these passions. The first part of the book is every Psalm followed by a poem the Lord gave me and asked me to write. The second part of the book speaks to the presence of the Lord . You can find this book here………….  https://www.createspace.com/3900708

Can also be found at……… www.amazon.com

Broken pieces-broken people …….A poem for broken people

Posted by appolus on August 17, 2012

Broken pieces, broken people
Everywhere I go
How d’ya get to be so broken
It’s only God who knows

What d’ya have to listen to
In the early years
Pierced by many sorrows
filled with many tears

What d’ya have to witness
In the darkest night
Your soul it took in everything
despite your eyes shut tight

You’re ten thousand broken pieces
Which no one else can see
How ya gonna fix your soul
that’s longing to be free

All of the kings horses
And all of the kings men
Could not put the pieces back
back together again

You must gather up your pieces
and come before the throne
Kings and Princes cannot help
Your help’s in God alone

He will take what’s shattered
the pieces in His hand
He’ll undo all the sorrows
so you once more can stand

Now that which once was broken
and filled with many tears
stand’s whole before the throne of grace
despite the locust’s years

All the years the locust ate
He now restores to you
The darkness of the endless years
replaced with skies so blue

Lambs to the Slaughter

Posted by appolus on August 11, 2012

Your world view, your view of your nation is going to determine your point of view. It will be the lens that you view events through and the filter through which you pray. What are the goals of your prayers for your nation? Do you seek to see it ” turned around?” What about your culture, do you want to see it saved or preserved? Your way of life, your goals and aspirations for yourself, your children and your grandchildren, and they dependent upon the state of the economy or the state of the culture or the state of the nation?
