When the church dies!

Posted by appolus on March 30, 2015

churchBrothers and sisters I believe the time is coming soon where the vast majority of genuine saints will not be able to stay within what I would call ” Christendom.” The pillars of truth are being assaulted in an ever-increasing fashion day by day. One challenge after another faces the organized church in an ever-changing world. One could argue that the world has always been changing and for sure on many levels this is true. Yet, fundamental absolute truths are being challenged in our day the likes of which we have never witnessed in the west before, never. Right is becoming wrong and day is becoming night.

If organizations of any stripes are to survive going forward, it will only be by compromise and capitulation. Now we do have a historical period that can give us some clues as to what a thoroughly compromised church looks like. In the 1930s in Nazi Germany we had the state church, the Lutheran church completely compromised by a country given over to national madness. One very honest German citizen said looking back at those days ” there was something in the air and we all breathed it in.” Can I suggest brothers and sisters that there is something in the air, in the very atmosphere and it is not limited to one nation or even one geographical location and the world is breathing it in.

In the midst of this time Bonhoeffer came out of the Lutheran church and became part of what came to be known as the Confessing church. It was an illegal underground church that had separated itself from the Lutheran church, compelled to leave because the national church was merely serving the national cause which in that case happened to be Nazism. When the church serves the world and stands by silent in the midst of great turmoil and evil to merely guarantee its own survival then that is a church that no genuine saint will be able to stay in. Jesus was killed, in the minds of the established religion of His day, in order to keep order and survive a crackdown or destruction by the Romans.

What will the modern church go along with in order to survive as an entity or a building or an establishment or a denomination? Perhaps when the Supreme court of America rules this coming summer we shall see the beginnings of a church that will only be allowed to survive if it follows the dictates of ungodly men? Britain has promised that those within the clergy( don’t like that word) who do not want to perform gay marriages will not be punished by law. Let me predict that this will not last. The days are coming soon brothers and sisters that will jar us out of our slumbers with a great jolt. It is exactly what the Body of Christ needs. We need to be awakened and be a witness to the world. An un-compromised witness that is willing to suffer loss because they are lovers of the truth.

Hello brother Frank…..In Amos chapter 5 and verse 19, it tells a little story of a man out going for a walk. The man meets a fierce lion, and begins to run for his life, he turns a corner and comes face to face with a bear. Now the poor man is headed for the safety of his house, with a lion and a bear snapping at his heels. He finally gets to his house, throws the door open, goes inside and slams the doop shut behind him. I can just imagine him saying WHEW! They like to have got me. He puts his hand out against the wall to rest himself, and a serpent is lying oon his wall that he is not even aware it is there. Then the serpent bites the man. That is what has happened to the church worldwide brother Frank. Thay have been running from all kinds of perceived evils out there, and not aware that there is a deadly serpent inside the walls of thier own church. It is a serpent of complacency, and it has already bitten them. The church world wide has already been bitten by a serpent on thier wall brother Frank. Blessings from Mexico precious brother……Robert

Well said dear Christian brother. The church in it’s present apostate form isn’t supposed to survive. The Lord Jesus will and is bringing forth a healthy remnant band of spirit filled ekklesia filled with the Holy Spirit and Power, not the present form of organized religion having an intellectual form of godliness but denying the power of God.
      Blessings from the wilderness,
      Scarlett

HI bro Robert, bitten indeed brother, bitten indeed. I remember reading Psalm 74 and seeing in my spirits eye the vandals and the visigoths tearing down the church, the spirit of the world has invaded and conquered the church. I thank God for the precious Body of Christ whom the gates of hell shall never prevail against, the Church of the living God. We were never to attempt to remove the tares in case the wheat was harmed, but here we are in the time of the harvest and the tares are not simply among the wheat, they rule and reign in Christendom…………….bro Frank

    Psa 74:1-23
    (1) Maschil of Asaph. O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
    (2) Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
    (3) Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
    (4) Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
    (5) A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
    (6) But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
    (7) They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
    (8) They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
    (9) We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
    (10) O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
    (11) Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.
    (12) For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
    (13) Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
    (14) Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
    (15) Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
    (16) The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
    (17) Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
    (18) Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
    (19) O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
    (20) Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
    (21) O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
    (22) Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
    (23) Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

Just yesterday I was keenly aware of the sleeping state of many churches. Things were okay, life goes on but there wasn’t any strategy or awareness of the battles going on around us. May this wake up call be a catalyst to true devotion and movement in God’s Spirit.

Hi connected, there is indeed a raging battle going on in the spiritual realm and it is spilling over into our own as the Lord’s return nears. The enemy knows His time is short now His saints must be awakened and prepared for what is unfolding before our very eyes. Lord give us eyes to see………………..bro Frank

As is typical among the family of believers, things are often upside down for a reason. On the other hand, churches aren’t right side up, they’re backwards all together being the inventions of men. Try as many will, their will be no salvaging nor saving this lot. They will be shaken as will the saints who attempt to remain therein.

What is so wonderful is the knowledge that the destruction of churches and their wares is wrought and will be fulfilled by God Himself. To those who see, this should come as no surprise and in fact ought to encourage us. God has always been dividing since the beginning of time, but soon the true saints from the false will be seen for who they really are.

Church as a whole has never been necessary from the beginning and its long overdue we all return to the simplicity found in Christ alone and in true fellowship one with another. Don’t cry for church and all that must come to pass. Cry for those who still do not see, and whose hope rests in the temporal more than in the eternal.

I actually do not think any ” churches,” will be destroyed as such, in fact as the great falling away intensifies we will perhaps see even more people attend churches. The saints within organisations that are compromised will be forced to reckon with that reality. Christ has always had His Church, His Body and they are typically scattered throughout what has come to be known as churches. Yet true fellowship of the Body has always been between genuine saints. The eyes of the saints are being opened to the reality of the Body of Christ and what that actually means. The events of our days are, while seemingly alarming, serving a greater purpose. They are purifying the saints, refining them, bringing them to the truth. If Church history is studied, we can see that persecution is the great refining fire. The only thing ever burned in a refining fire is flesh, the Spirit dwells easily within the confines of persecution because persecution brings into sharp focus what is of eternal value and what is not. It increases dependency upon God and when we are more dependent upon the Lord then faith is increased and when faith is increased then our witness is magnified. When our witness is magnified then persecution increases even more and so we are driven deeper into the Father’s heart thus glorifying Him in ways we could never imagine. That is why in the final days, when persecution covers the earth them so glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea……………bro Frank
