The teacher who will never fail you!

Posted by appolus on March 3, 2015

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. (1Jn 2:26-27)

Now here is an incredible thing, every genuine saint has an anointing from God to know and to hear and to understand the truth. So if anyone is deceived, he has allowed himself to be deceived and by an act of his own will, determined in his heart to ignore that inner anointing. Now why would anyone do such a thing? They have responded to the siren call from the soul and those sirens will lure them onto the rocks. To be deceived by a false prophet or a seducer is an act of indulgence , laziness or lust. Now this anointing does not mean that you do not need to be taught, although if circumstances warranted it , God is well able to teach you. No, it means that you will be able to discern, through your inner witness, what is true and what is not. No man has dominion over your faith, over your anointing, over your inner witness by the Holy Spirit from God. Stand upon the Word of God and the inner witness that testifies to it for you will be accountable for your own walk. No finger will be pointed at any man or the devil saying ” he made me do it.”

Studying Matthew 18:7 this week, I was musing on “stumbling-blocks,” and Jesus’ pronouncement of woe to “that man through whom the stumbling-block comes.”

It’s obvious the enemy is always seeking to deceive us. It’s obvious he uses men of seared consciences to do so (some no doubt deceived themselves; others because deceit is their profession, even if masked as “public relations” or “advertising”). Against American Christians, his agents especially seem to be the political “spin doctors.”

My great grief and anger has been that the enemy’s message, mediated by his professional deceivers, is invariably spread among us by our “Christian friends” ! I can’t count the DAILY exhortations to violent hatred (of “illegal aliens,” Muslims, “welfare cheats,” “liberals,” et al) and rebellion (against laws, government, especially Obama) I receive in social media and e-mail: virtually always from “Christian” friends forwarding some “conservative” meme.

Are my “Christian” friends, then, those “through whom the stumbling-block comes” ? If they approve to me and urge on me, in their own name, the enemy’s lies, attitudes, and operative worldview, how are they not ?

I’d like to leave some wiggle-room here…they ARE friends, people I know and love. I’d like to believe that, having been deceived themselves by professional liars (and ultimately by the father of lies), they are somehow less responsible for passing on lies.

The scripture here doesn’t give any of us wiggle-room. Your comment, that “…if anyone is deceived, he has allowed himself to be deceived and by an act of his own will, determined in his heart to ignore that inner anointing,” is true to that scripture. Thanks for this post.

    blessings, Steve

HI Steve, yes these kinds of things play right into the fleshly political natures of the hearers. The hypocrisy is exposed when the Republicans act in the same ways yet then those people become strangely quiet. To me, there is nothing worse than trying to wrap our Lord in the filthy garments of politics or trying to wrap Him up in the flag. To those who do such things I can only say beware, you are being used in scheme of the devil who know exactly how to tempt you…………….bro Frank

Amen ! Satan’s poison is never more eagerly swallowed by the unwary than when it’s wrapped in politics and/or nationalism. And none who seeks, and heeds, and obeys the Spirit can be “unwary.”

        blessing to you, brother. Steve
