You are the inspiration of my life
When I laugh, it is because you have placed a joy deep within my soul
When I cry tears of joy and sadness
It is because you have created rivers in the desert
When I am thirsty in the place of testing
I fall upon the Rock and am engulfed
In the sweet flowing waters of life.

My Dog Died Today
Posted by appolus on February 18, 2008
Even in this state she was still doing her best to serve me, her master. As I stood there shedding a few tears, I realized what an example my dog was for me as a Christian. She was loyal to a fault. Even in her weakened state, her priority was to serve me and to please me.

Holding His Hand
Posted by appolus on February 18, 2008
The sweet all consuming joy of His presence. This heart of a lion that beats within the chest of a lamb. This all consuming power of love that rises victoriously above all the battles of life. What battle field do you find yourself on today? Do you battle the unseen enemy of unforgiveness? Or has someone wronged you and bitterness knocks at your door?

The Day I met An Angel
Posted by appolus on February 15, 2008
“My icy heart melted in the presence of the Lord.Warm waters of love came flooding into my heart. The cry of my heart had been (Psalm 69)”Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Do not let the flood of waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth on me.Hear me, O Jehovah, for Your loving-kindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. And hide not Your face from Your servant; for I am in trouble; hear me quickly.” Read the rest of this entry »

Why So Downcast Oh My Soul?
Posted by appolus on February 15, 2008
O my God, my soul is cast down within me.” (Psalm 42)
“Are you downcast today? Has the troubles of life, the trials of circumstances mounted up and overwhelmed you? Are you wandering in a spiritual wilderness? Perhaps you even feel abandoned by God?”

Anatomy of a Miracle
Posted by appolus on February 13, 2008
Fifteen years ago, just six weeks after my son Daniel was born, and just two years after coming to know Jesus, the doctors made a pronouncement to me that many people fear. I was told, after blood tests, x-rays, cat scans and finally a lung biopsy, that I had an incurable disease. One-third of each lung was covered with irreversible fibrosis, a disease known as Pulmonary fibrosis. Many of you will remember that DR Bill Bright of Campus Crusade For Christ died of this disease a couple of years ago. Read the rest of this entry »

The Glory of the Third Temple
Posted by appolus on February 12, 2008
There is a coming movement of God. We , as the Church, seem to go through periods that reflect the children of Israel. What happened to the Israelites every time that they prospered? They grew self- dependent and moved far from God. Captivity always seemed to follow. The world, whether it was the Medes or the Persians or indeed the Babylonians, would conquer Israel.

The Sad Demise of Dr Dobson
Posted by appolus on February 11, 2008
“The main problem with the Dr Dobson’s and the Pat Robertson’s are they are men who have one foot in the world and one foot in Christ, it simply does not and cannot work. They lead the Christian community down a path and hypocrisy and confusion lie at the end of it.”

Will you Stand up and Die for your God?
Posted by appolus on February 11, 2008
“Jesus would cry out, in the most agonized cry every heard on the earth “Fatherrrrrrrrr, why has thou abandoned me.” You see Jesus could take being abandoned by His fellow Israelites whom He treasured, by His friends who He loved dearly, but to be abandoned by His Heavenly Father, to be separated from Him for the first time in all eternity, was a hell we can never comprehend. We think in time and space, we think in linear terms, we do not and cannot understand that the Godhead operates outside the bounds of time. Therefore, what we consider to be a moment of time, no one will ever know to what degree the “separation,” Jesus experienced from His Father really cost, not only Jesus, but also His beloved Father who had planned this from the very beginning.” Read the rest of this entry »

You Will Die For Your Country, but Will You Die For Christ?
Posted by appolus on February 9, 2008
“The true Christian is in the world but not of it. The fact is that our citizenship is not of this world. Whether God chooses us to be born into Communist China, or Capitalist America, maybe Socialist Germany, it matters not. Perhaps we will be born under a monarchy, perhaps under democracy, maybe dictatorship, again, it is of little consequence. For we are not citizens of the world, we are indeed, ambassadors. We represent a kingdom that is, yet is not, yet is still to come. As representatives, we will live peaceably and quietly wherever we are sent. To become embroiled in the politics of wherever we are sent is to depart from our mission and is a tactic of the enemy.”

Arise and Let Your Enemies Be Scattered
Posted by appolus on February 9, 2008
“After many years of violence and terror, one particular night seemed to draw all the demonic forces together. My father, always highly unpredictable, seemed to have lost his mind this night. He was laughing hysterically and then crying, and all the time holding my mother by the back of the hair and pounding her face with his fist. She just kept repeating “Jesus loves you, Jesus loves you.” My sister was in the corner of the room screaming. I stood behind my dad, frozen in terror. We had witnessed violence many times before, but this night was different.”

Where are you in the Battle ?
Posted by appolus on February 9, 2008
“All of these men and many more had one thing in common. They all were conquerors. They literally laid their lives on the line and most of them were actually killed. Do we have what it takes to stand up and be counted? Would we be willing, like these men, to put our lives on the line for truth, to stand in the gap? ” Read the rest of this entry »

The Prodigal Bomber
Posted by appolus on December 31, 2007
“Have you ever prayed for a loved one for a long time? You pray and trust in the Lord and you actually see that person getting worse, going from one bad decision to another. You talk to them and you share with them and you try to council them and convince them that everything they need, the answer to their deepest problems lie with the Lord Jesus.”

A vision of coming into His presence
Posted by appolus on December 28, 2007
“The sun rises majestically from behind ancient mountains. What a glorious
describable scene. What is indescribable is my glorious indescribable Jesus. He rises majestically and wondrously out of the sea of the world and the mountain of His presence touches the sky and the sky that He touches is cloudless and without trouble.
It looks down over a still and motionless sea. This sky, this sea is my heart warmed by the rising of the Son until it burns intensely into my soul and my flesh and changes everything. In this fire of His presence I am alive with a life that will never end. Oh glorious indescribable King, Oh Jesus.”
