A great noise in Christendom-Time for silence

Posted by appolus on August 18, 2013

God is longing to speak to His people but the modern day church, Christendom, is like a bustling city where everyone is going there own way, rushing to and fro, distracted and self focussed.

This shrill noise of music that directs and moves people, the beat being increased as the people seemed to be moved is merely a reflection of the power of any music and not the presence nor the worship of God. It is God’s presence that moves us in the realm of the spirit. Worldly music, including almost all of what passes for worship today, moves in the realm of the soul. The soul is immense and can never be filled with anything apart from God, everything else will leave you wanting.

We need to encounter something bigger than all that exists, and only God, and God alone can do that. So, why does the modern church settle for something less than God and choose to stay within the realms of the soul? It does not want to sacrifice to come into the holy of Holies. It is the Cain spirit. They will give the product of their own efforts and count this as sacrifice but God will have none of it. It remains outisde in the court of the gentiles, so close, but yet so far away. God dwells in a high and lofty place but He beckons to us to come, He beckons to the humble and the contrite and they come to where He is and they dwell there.

The beauty of silence-The noise of the world!

Posted by appolus on July 25, 2013

I believe the cross is empty
Because He dwells in me
No longer bound and chained by death
Because He set me free

I believe the tomb in empty
Because my heart is full
I believe the Lord He died for me
Hands pierced with nails so cruel

I believe in my Lord and risen King
Because I met Him on the road
He washed me clean, restored my soul
And took from me a heavy load

I know my King is coming soon
I hear His small still voice
Can you hear Him whisper in the wind?
Can you hear above the noise?

People running to and fro
Distraction, they abound!
Much noise is heard throughout the land
The Lord is nowhere to be found

Hush your voices Christendom
Let silence fall like rain
Let the dew of holy reverence
Soak us once again

Our God is vast beyond compare
He dwells in a lofty place
And His children dwell within the veil
And His glory shines upon their face

Seek the Lord in the quiet place
Run from all the noise
And up from the glory of silence
We begin to hear the saints rejoice

And the prophets of Baal make more noise
As they try to bring God down
Yet Gods unmoved by fleshly things
So they do not hear a sound

More drums perhaps, more noise may work?
If we worship all day long?
Perhaps the fire of God will fall
If we sing a louder song?

And still our God He is unmoved
By the sacrifice of Cain
And instead of God we see strange fire
As they make more noise again

Gods remnant children seek His face
And in the desert places bloom
For the bride she knows the Bridegroom comes
And the Lord our God is coming soon!

The weight of His glory

Posted by appolus on July 18, 2013

Dear sister Lynn writes……………..”truly the weight of his glory was there, and he among us. I can not express just how precious the whole three days were, some very special brothers and sisters drawn together. Blessings, lynn ” This comment is from a dear sister who attended our remnant meetings last weekend.

I would say this would sum up our meetings very well. The weight of His glory fell upon us. From the beautiful still silence of His rest arose a symphony of praise to our God. His presence fell upon us like the dew of Hermon that fell upon the mount of Zion. And just as the Lord commanded the blessing, we found life, abundant life in the river of God that flows from His High and lofty place. There is much noise in the land brothers and sister. There is much professional worship that makes a great noise. In the world’s eyes it sounds great and is somewhat familiar to their ears because much of it is fashioned after the music of the world. It is designed to entertain. Yet, can I suggest, that if the Lord does not inhabit it then it is merely noise and it actually drowns out the small still voice that would whisper to us ” He is beautiful beyond description, to marvelous for words, to wonderful for comprehension, like nothing ever seen or heard, who could grasp His infinite wisdom, who could fathom the depths of His love. He is beautiful beyond description, majesty enthrones above.”

As God gathers His people together, a hush will fall upon their hearts. They will catch their breaths as the King of glory comes in, comes in in all of His fullness. As He begins to flood the dry creek beds with a mighty rushing river then the saints will begin to rise up and minister in the overflow of His presence. There is a fresh wind beginning to blow in the hearts of Gods saints. There is a fountain rising in their hearts. And the source of this fountain is God Himself in all of His majestic glory. And out of this river flows an everlasting abundant love. It fills us with light and this light is the life of men. Look unto God and see what it truly means to live an abundant life in Christ.

Can you hear the voice of God?

Posted by appolus on March 21, 2013

What does it mean to hear God? Seems like such a simple question. You would imagine that no Christian would object to “hearing,” God speak to them. That small still voice, the voice of the shepherd speaking to His sheep, and His sheep recognizing His voice. The Holy Spirit whispering into the hearts of believers. The Holy Spirit leading and guiding and magnifying the Lord Jesus in our hearts. Here is the very essence of hearing God. A man I know of, went into the supermarket to buy his wife a rose. It was his practice to do this every week. He picked the rose that he wanted and made for the checkout lane. As he walked toward the line , the Holy Spirit spoke to him, that small still voice from the Shepherd. “Give the rose to that woman.” Immediately the man resisted. “Lord, that makes no sense. What if she thinks I am hitting on her? What if she thinks I am crazy? What if others hear and think I am a weirdo?” There was such a resistance in his flesh, yet he knew the voice of the Lord, and he knew he had to be obedient. So, he took a deep breath and walked over to the lady and said to her “The Lord wanted you to have this rose.” The woman looked at him for a second, then looked at the rose, and as she reached out to take it, she began to weep. She explained.”My husband died several months ago. Every week , for years, he would buy me a rose. This morning I was feeling so lost and forgotten, I cried out to God and asked Him if He had forgotten me, I told Him that I needed to feel loved.” The man cried too. You see how the Lord loves us? You see how He speaks to His people?

The presence of God and the glory of the Psalms

Posted by appolus on August 21, 2012

Hi saints, if you have been coming to this site for any length of time you will know that I have two passions. One is the presence and the glory of God, and the other is poetry which I write when I feel moved of the Lord. I have just published a book called ” A poem for every Psalm” which combines these passions. The first part of the book is every Psalm followed by a poem the Lord gave me and asked me to write. The second part of the book speaks to the presence of the Lord . You can find this book here………….  https://www.createspace.com/3900708

To all who thirst

Posted by appolus on December 22, 2011

Do you thirst after God? Wait upon the Lord brothers and sisters and He will revive you. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him…………….Brother Frank

TO ALL WHO THIRST

As the deer panteth for the waterbrooks
So my soul longeth after thee
Oh my Father in Heaven
Can you hear my desperate plea?
