FifteenΒ years ago, just six weeks after my son Daniel was born, and just two years after coming to know Jesus, the doctors made a pronouncement to me that many people fear. I was told, after blood tests, x-rays, cat scans and finally a lung biopsy, that I had an incurable disease. One-third of each lung was covered with irreversible fibrosis, a disease known as Pulmonary fibrosis. Many of you will remember that DR Bill Bright of Campus Crusade For Christ died of this disease a couple of years ago.Β Read the rest of this entry »

Quote From Scofield
Posted by appolus on February 12, 2008
Β Β The church has failed to follow her appointed pathway of separation, holiness, heavenliness and testimony to an absent but coming Christ; she has turned aside from that purpose to
the work of civilizing the world, building magnificent temples, and acquiring earthly power and wealth, and, in this way, has ceased to follow in the footsteps of Him who had not
where to lay His head.

The Glory of the Third Temple
Posted by appolus on February 12, 2008
There is a coming movement of God. We , as the Church, seem to go through periods that reflect the children of Israel. What happened to the Israelites every time that they prospered? They grew self- dependent and moved far from God. Captivity always seemed to follow. The world, whether it was the Medes or the Persians or indeed the Babylonians, would conquer Israel.

The Sad Demise of Dr Dobson
Posted by appolus on February 11, 2008
βThe main problem with the Dr Dobson’s and the Pat Robertsonβs are they are men who have one foot in the world and one foot in Christ, it simply does not and cannot work. They lead the Christian community down a path and hypocrisy and confusion lie at the end of it.β

Will you Stand up and Die for your God?
Posted by appolus on February 11, 2008
“Jesus would cry out, in the most agonized cry every heard on the earth βFatherrrrrrrrr, why has thou abandoned me.β You see Jesus could take being abandoned by His fellow Israelites whom He treasured, by His friends who He loved dearly, but to be abandoned by His Heavenly Father, to be separated from Him for the first time in all eternity, was a hell we can never comprehend. We think in time and space, we think in linear terms, we do not and cannot understand that the Godhead operates outside the bounds of time. Therefore, what we consider to be a moment of time, no one will ever know to what degree the βseparation,β Jesus experienced from His Father really cost, not only Jesus, but also His beloved Father who had planned this from the very beginning.” Read the rest of this entry »

You Will Die For Your Country, but Will You Die For Christ?
Posted by appolus on February 9, 2008
“The true Christian is in the world but not of it. The fact is that our citizenship is not of this world. Whether God chooses us to be born into Communist China, or Capitalist America, maybe Socialist Germany, it matters not. Perhaps we will be born under a monarchy, perhaps under democracy, maybe dictatorship, again, it is of little consequence. For we are not citizens of the world, we are indeed, ambassadors. We represent a kingdom that is, yet is not, yet is still to come. As representatives, we will live peaceably and quietly wherever we are sent. To become embroiled in the politics of wherever we are sent is to depart from our mission and is a tactic of the enemy.”

Arise and Let Your Enemies Be Scattered
Posted by appolus on February 9, 2008
“After many years of violence and terror, one particular night seemed to draw all the demonic forces together. My father, always highly unpredictable, seemed to have lost his mind this night. He was laughing hysterically and then crying, and all the time holding my mother by the back of the hair and pounding her face with his fist. She just kept repeating βJesus loves you, Jesus loves you.β My sister was in the corner of the room screaming. I stood behind my dad, frozen in terror. We had witnessed violence many times before, but this night was different.”

Where are you in the Battle ?
Posted by appolus on February 9, 2008
“All of these men and many more had one thing in common. They all were conquerors. They literally laid their lives on the line and most of them were actually killed. Do we have what it takes to stand up and be counted? Would we be willing, like these men, to put our lives on the line for truth, to stand in the gap? ” Read the rest of this entry »

The Storms of Life
Posted by appolus on February 8, 2008
“There is a coming storm for Christians. We have pursued the things of the world. We have striven after material blessings, we have sought to establish our peace and our standing in life in the abundance of material possesions. Now the Lord is ready to release us from Babylon. We ,as a people, are looking very worldy. The coming storm is going to strip that all away. Praise God that He is not finished with His people.”

Abide in Christ and Die
Posted by appolus on February 5, 2008
“Is there a reason why the Church today is so anemic? What is missing from us that makes us so like the world? What is the answer to the fact that the modern day church is not walking in the power of God? We see so many dynamic personalities, but we see so little of the Holy Spirit.” Read the rest of this entry »

I stand at the Door and knock
Posted by appolus on February 5, 2008
“For too long we, as people of God, as the called out people have only entered into βHis courts with thanksgiving and into His gates with praise.β And while there is great emphasis in ancient Israel for worship of joyful abandon and gladness, this was not the only βmood,β of worship. Even prior to Jesus manifesting Himself on the earth there was a worship of awe and of reverence where one could barely lift their heads. The power would fall, the shekinah glory of the living God would fall with such a βHoly heaviness,β that one could barely lift their heads.”

Abandoned to the Battle
Posted by appolus on February 2, 2008
“What are todayβs giants? What is it today that Christians are most fearful of, fears that condemn them to forever wander in a desert that at least they know? I would put it to you that amongst the fears that torture todayβs Christians are sicknesses, diseases, sufferings, death, insecurity in regard to money. There is a whole industry to pamper to weak Christians who disgrace their warrior King of Calvary.”

Did you pass the test but fail the class?

‘It is amazing that you can say something that is true, you can βjudge ,β a brothers actions and be correct, yet, if you say it or judge without love then you are only adding to the problem. When love is combined with truth, only then does it have the power to change for the good.”

Gods Plan Will Not Be Thwarted
Posted by appolus on January 1, 2008
“How many of us have suffered from paralysis of analysis? We are so unsure of Gods will for our life that we that we cannot discern our way ahead. We are afraid that if we do not hear an audible voice, or even a small still voice then we could make a mistake and if we step outside of His plan, then we face ruin and attack from an enemy just waiting to pounce. Its hard to imagine that the Royal Priesthood could suffer such bondage from the father of lies.”

The Prodigal Bomber
Posted by appolus on December 31, 2007
“Have you ever prayed for a loved one for a long time? You pray and trust in the Lord and you actually see that person getting worse, going from one bad decision to another. You talk to them and you share with them and you try to council them and convince them that everything they need, the answer to their deepest problems lie with the Lord Jesus.”

HE KNOWS THE PLANS HE HAS FOR YOU
Posted by appolus on December 29, 2007
“This drunkenness was a way of life for me. I grew up in a working class society where drunkenness was a right of passage. I very much admired men who could consume copious amounts of alcohol and still continue to drink. My highest ambition was to become just like them. For the most part I achieved my goals.”

The Coming Tribulation
Posted by appolus on December 28, 2007
“I believe that we are living in exceedingly βlean ,β times in the church because the Lord is giving us over to the desires of our hearts, what a price to pay! True treasure is the presence of the Lord. True treasure is the gifts of the Lord in operation in our lives and in our Churches. When my wife and I were married at 17 and were homeless and pregnant(we ended up in the Salvation Armyβs shelter for battered woman ) my abiding memory of those difficult times was that βnothing matters as long as we are together.β
