I just wanted to relay this story from our gathering in Barnsdall last year. For someone who writes, I have never felt any desire to write about our meetings last year. Perhaps it was because just two days after returning from the Barnsdall meetings, I was plunged into a personal tragedy that resulted in one of the darkest periods of my Christian walks. Yet, the Lord was faithful through it all. He reached out to me in my darkness time and time again through His word and specifically through Psalms 57 and Psalm 142.

Overcoming giants! Arise and let your enemies be scattered.
Posted by appolus on June 30, 2011
Gideon was full of the Holy Spirit, as was David. If we are to fight the enemy and defeat him in the field of battle, we too must be full of the Holy Spirit. Religious men will tell you that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit when we are saved and that is true, but we must be filled again and again. This filling flows from the very presence of God. We must take advantage of the throne room of God. With a price that can never be estimated, God the Father, through Jesus His Son, made the way to the Holy of Holy’s accessible to all who call upon His name and are washed in the Blood of the Lamb. David says “Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me, restore unto me, the joy of my salvation and renew a right spirit within me.”

Wait till your Father gets home!
Posted by appolus on June 8, 2011
If a man has a relationship with the law, if his behavior is modified by the law, then that man cannot have a relationship with Jesus. Why not? Because that man would be an adulterer. You see, after the New Covenant was put into place, we now have a relationship with the law-giver. The giver of the Law gives us a new heart and resides in it. The new man is dead to the Law and alive to the law-giver. His behavior is now modified by Jesus Himself from within and it changes his character and nature. The law that he once tried to follow out of an abstract fear of an abstract God, has been replaced with a living relationship with the God that he encountered. The manβs behavior is now modified out of love for his Lord and a desire to see his Lord gloried in all the earth. He fears not being able to draw close to the Lord; he knows that sin βseparates,β him from the presence of God. No βwhere is this more plainly seen than in Psalm 51. βHide thy face from my sins and blot out all of my iniquities.β βCreate in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right Spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation and uphold me with thy free Spirit.β

The vastness of God and how He can be known!
Posted by appolus on May 17, 2011
In His presence I am changed, In His presence I have fullness of Joy, In His presence mysteries are revealed, In His presence I am healed, In His presence, offenses melt away like wax, In His presence I experience eternity, In His presence is the essence of Hope, In His presence I dwell in power, In His presence the crossed wires of my dysfunctional life are uncrossed. In His presence I forgive. In His presence I forget. In His presence I count my brother andΒ sister in Christ higher than I count myself. And of course, in His presence there is fullness of Joy.Β And since I am still in the flesh, in His presence I abide under the shadow of His wings, and even that shadow is brighter than a thousand suns.

The presence of God, actually!
Posted by appolus on May 12, 2011
The presence of God is the central fact of Christianity. At the heart of the Christian message is God Himself waiting for His redeemed children to push in to conscious awareness of His presence. That type of Christianity which happens now to be the vogue knows this Presence only in theory. It fails to stress the Christian’s privilege of present realization. According to its teachings we are in the presence of God positionally, and nothing is said about the need to experience that Presence actually. We are satisfied to rest in our judicial possessions and, for the most part, we bother ourselves very little about the absence of personal experience.

The coming earthquake in America
Posted by appolus on April 12, 2011
There seems no doubt that judgement on a grand scale is coming to America and the West. God is shaking all the world right now, and there is no reason to believe that He will leave countries like America and Britain untouched. Consider, if you will, David Wilkerson’s prophecy from 1974. I consider brother David to be one of the few, true, Prophets, although I am sure that he himself would deny being one, as would men like Tozer and Ravenhill. Yet, their very denial of being prophets, only adds to the fact that they were. You can quite easily dismiss almost all of todays self-proclaimed prophets. The time is short for America and Britain. These great bastions of power and wealth will undoubtedly be judged by the Living God, and very soon.

The Glory of God fills all the earth!

As the waters cover the sea
He is the one who came and died for you
He is the one who has set you free

Do you live beyond the edge of hope?
Posted by appolus on March 31, 2011
TO LIVE BEYOND THE EDGE OF HOPE
To live beyond the edge of hope
Is to dangle daily from a rope
In a perpetual dance with death itself
Beyond this world and all its wealth
There is a world of blue and green
But to the dark eye its all unseen
A world of orange, red and yellow too
But from the rope its beyond all view
For from the rope there’s shades of grey
And sleepless nights and endless days
And every now and then some light
But just enough to confirm the night
There was a time I dangled from this rope
At the edge of hell and beyond all hope
I lived my life, just hanging there
Crushed and broken, suspended in the air
Then Jesus came and cut me down
He raised me up to wear a crown
A pauper raised to walk with kings
A voicless man but now who sings
Of all the glories of the Lord
Who came with Word and deed and sword
And conquered hell and death and sin
Restoring joy and hope within
Now all the world is bright to me
No matter what my eyes can see
No longer dangling from the rope
I walk with Jesus, I walk with hope
And above the clouds I know its true
The sun shines bright and the sky is blue
And when a shaft of light appears
It warms my heart and quells my fears
Now if your dangling from that rope
And this lie cries out, “there is no hope”
Cry out to the one who can cut you down
He will raise you up and you will wear a crown!

The Coming King
Posted by appolus on March 4, 2011
As I walked last night and spoke with the Lord, dusk began to fall and He whispered in my ear and laid upon my heart……
As the dusk of life is falling
And the sands of time run swift
As we approach the edge of glory
To Him our hands we lift

Why isn’t the American church growing?
Posted by appolus on February 18, 2011
God is moving in powerful ways in the developing world. How is it that God can visit a mud hut in the middle of Africa yet bypass the comfortable sanctuaries we created for Him in our country? Ravenhill answered it this way: βGod does not answer prayer; He answers desperate prayer.β Jesus comes to those who are desperate for Him. The reason I believe that most of us never experience a move of God is simply that we are content to live without it. In the West we now have the money but no longer the power to speak to a paralyzed world. The song in our hearts is gone, as well as our desire for Him to rule at the center of our hearts. We quickly point to our blessings (which are almost always of the material variety) and claim that our overabundance is due to Godβs favor. Read the rest of this entry »

The last Outpouring is coming!-David Wilkerson
Posted by appolus on January 13, 2011
We will not have had the fullness of the Spiritβs outpouring until
baptized people separate themselves completely from the world.
We must emphasize separation and purity of heart. The purpose
of the Spiritβs coming is to sanctify and prepare a people for the
Lordβs return, a people without spot or wrinkle.

The prodigal sons and those who love them!
Posted by appolus on December 4, 2010
Perhaps today you are feeling the weight and the burden of a lost loved one? Can I encourage you to stay in the light, stay near to Him. This light that is in you is the only hope for those that are lost to the darkness of this world. Let your love be a city set upon a hill. Let that light of hope and glory be a beacon to all who are lost. For if the light that is in you goes out, what hope for the lost?

My mothers testimony!
Posted by appolus on October 19, 2010
Last week my mother gave her testimony on our prayer conference call. What I like about the way that she gives her testimony is that she sticks to giving Jesus the glory. She actually suffered much violence and persecution for the name of Jesus, but it would be har to tell that from her testimony. You can hear it her , it starts about the 8.30 mark click here ->My mothers testimony.Β You can read more about her testimony at

Can you say ” I have no King but Jesus?”
Posted by appolus on September 11, 2010
When your faced with a God that does not serve you. When you are robbed, beaten, cheated, taken advantage of. When someone close to you dies, a loved one is murdered, will you turn your back on God?Jesus did not stack up against Barabbas. Barabbas was a rebel against Rome. Jesus was silent on Rome. The crowd methodically rejected a captive and scourged Jesus until finally it came to the truth of the matter and it proclaimed ” We have no king but Caesar.” Shocking, isn’t it? But what about you? Can you truly say ” I have no King but Jesus?” Or are you too looking for someone to sort out the world?” Read the rest of this entry »

The rise of the remnant and the fall of the church!
Posted by appolus on September 9, 2010
There is a great multitude today who are desperately hungry and thirsty. All over the world the people dwell in great darkness and the darkness increases every day. Hell has opened its vaults and is beginning to spew out evil with increasing speed and urgency because it knows its time is short. There is desperate darkness coming and it is coming at us with alarming speed. Yet, as in the time of Noah, the world is ignorant of the impending disaster about to befall it. Like the children of Israel when Jesus says ” O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!”

What should the “Revivalist,” be teaching?
Posted by appolus on March 4, 2010
Revival can come only to those who know truth. When the inner meaning of familiar doctrines suddenly flashes in upon the heart of a Christian the revival for him has already begun. It may go on to be much more than this but it can never be less Read the rest of this entry »

Revolution?
Posted by appolus on January 7, 2010
Β
You must become temporary residents or travelers in this world.
We have put our roots down in a world that we are only passing
through, to the point that the culture has overtaken faith. 1 Peter 2:11.
Peter tells us to be aliens to this world and to abstain from fleshly
desires that war against us. What are these things that war against
us? The very culture of self that we live in today – from sexual
perversion to self-centered greed, to theΒ attitude that we deserve
anything we want. This culture has brought down basic values and
destroyed the family in this nation. Just like Lot in Sodom, we have
grown so comfortable with the life it provides us we don’t even care
about the sin around us. We have adjusted our religion to fit the
culture. Β We are at a point where nothing shocks us anymore, but
as long as we can keep our comforts it’s OK. Β We love this world
and the things it affords us so much, we have missed the narrow
path and are trying to turn a deaf ear to the warnings of God for us to repent.
