Praetorian Guard?

For those who do not know who the Praetorian Guard were, they were an elite handpicked group of Roman soldiers that would guard Roman Emperors. They were made up of nine “cohorts,” each consisting of around 1000 soldiers, so about nine thousand in all. While the legions were not allowed to come near to Rome, they had to stay north of the Rubicon river, the Praetorian Guard were barracked just outside of the city of Rome.
It is said that on Wednesday, there will be over twenty thousand national guard in Washington D.C for the transfer of power, the inauguration of Joe Biden. It has been reported that everyone of those twenty thousand soldiers have had background reports carried out on them. Hand picked men and women of a certain political persuasion? Is there a purge going on in the military? What would disqualify you?
Is it possible that we are looking at the politicization of the Army? What next, the police? This is very dangerous territory we are entering into. If the armed forces and the police become armed centers of ideology where all dissenting voices are purged out, then they simply become an armed wing of one dominant political force. You can see how that would end. Not well. Purging the institutions of society of any voice that disagrees with the dominant narrative has occurred many times in history. It never ends well.
Yet we know that saints don’t we? It does not end well for us in this world. It did not end well for our Lord Jesus. But, wait………..He rose again, He rose again!!! The enemy might kick us when we are down but we shall rise again. He arose so then shall His servants. If the Lord Jesus is for us then who can be against us? It may be dark all through the night but cometh the morning the sun rises and the dawn breaks. Jesus is our sunrise, Jesus is our dawn and at the break of the end of ages we shall be with Him as He comes again for all the world to see. Glory to God. Be of Good faith brothers and sisters for He has overcome the world.

I think the military in Washington is to distract from the absence of Biden’s 80,000,000 voters. Trump’s followers aren’t even planning to be there…

The LORD has said “Awake … put on Christ.” Do not allow fleshly desires to corrupt … many will begin to fall away because lawlessness is increasing like never seen in this country … in this … our generation. I read somewhere that faith is ‘forged’ in wilderness places. God is shaking everything that can be shaken … when all we can do is stand we are to stand. This standing will not be in our own power but in the power that resides within … He says “Fear not! I am with you!”Jesus will give all true saints grace as we need it … His grace is always sufficient. Praise God … I think of Paul and Silas singing praises while in shackles … God removed their shackles. I wonder how the jailers witness carried the message further.. I think of Stephen’s witness … God used him too and the gospel message went even further. We must examine ourselves and we must truly know God is sovereign in all circumstances and all things are for His purposes … even if He chooses us to suffer for His names sake.

One more thing if I may: I heard Tony Evans describe Satan’s fiery darts as ‘distraction.’ He used the analogy of a wagon train in an old western movie. He said the Indians were being overpowered as there arrows were no match for the men’s guns. But when the Indians torched the ends of their arrows the men were defeated because as the canvas of the wagons caught fire they were distracted from the true fight. Satan is sending distraction to many as we are locked down … as the identity of most is hidden behind cloth masks that do absolutely nothing against a virus that can attack through other body mediums … the media constantly propagates fear on top of fear. and the unknown or even the known ideologies of what is ahead of us after today. The distractions that have been orchestrated takes people away from fervent prayer and the Word that sustains us. Be ever so aware and careful to guard against Satan’s tactics. He is now out in the open and on attack BUT GOD … I love this BUT GOD is still in control.

When Ahab and Jezebel ruled in Israel, the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the cave when he was being pursued to death at the orders of Jezebel. He was on the run and in a satanic battle for his life. Arise and go on, was the word….there is a remnant 7,000 others that have not bowed the knee to Baal.
