Man can stand on the top of Everest and see the curvature of the earth and gasp. Men can stand on the moon, look back at the beauty of the earth and gasp. But the man who can stand upon the horizon of eternity and glimpse the majesty and immensityΒ of God, his gasp is the sound of him being ruined for this life.Β

The Evangelical sub-culture-Mere religion?
Posted by appolus on February 23, 2011
Is evangelicalism the newest form of “Religion”? Perhaps its always been a religion? Or perhaps it morphed into religion? Whatever the case, it is clear that it is truly a sub-culture. Genuine Christianity has always been a counter-culture. Right from the beginning, those who had encountered God were radically transformed. What they had may not have been perfect, but they were never accused of looking like the world. The world knew who they were, they always knew who they were. They were a ” peculiar,” people. They were out of step with the world. They ran counter to the culture.Β

Why isn’t the American church growing?
Posted by appolus on February 18, 2011
God is moving in powerful ways in the developing world. How is it that God can visit a mud hut in the middle of Africa yet bypass the comfortable sanctuaries we created for Him in our country? Ravenhill answered it this way: βGod does not answer prayer; He answers desperate prayer.β Jesus comes to those who are desperate for Him. The reason I believe that most of us never experience a move of God is simply that we are content to live without it. In the West we now have the money but no longer the power to speak to a paralyzed world. The song in our hearts is gone, as well as our desire for Him to rule at the center of our hearts. We quickly point to our blessings (which are almost always of the material variety) and claim that our overabundance is due to Godβs favor. Read the rest of this entry »

The Church of Tomorrow

βTHE CHURCH OF TOMORROW β
-by Andrew Strom.
A lot of people probably read some of the writings on this website and
wonder, βWhere is all this headed? What is the goal?β A glib answer might
be- βWe want to get back to real βNew Testamentβ Christianity.β But what
exactly does that look like?

Have you been diligent to enter His rest?
Posted by appolus on January 29, 2011
If you say that you are a Christian and you have not entered His rest what does that profit anyone? If the writer of Hebrews compares Christendom with the Israelites in the desert ,who do not believe and trust in God and therefore choose to wander and die in the desert, what does that say to us?Is it possible that we could have escaped Egypt, the world, only to die in the wilderness because ultimately we do not trust God? The last Outpouring is coming!-David Wilkerson
Posted by appolus on January 13, 2011
We will not have had the fullness of the Spiritβs outpouring until
baptized people separate themselves completely from the world.
We must emphasize separation and purity of heart. The purpose
of the Spiritβs coming is to sanctify and prepare a people for the
Lordβs return, a people without spot or wrinkle.

The Martyr Church-The Remnant People-Tozer
Posted by appolus on January 2, 2011
Gods remnant people are being called to stand like Christ in the wilderness, refusing all worldy help, waiting on the hand of God to move. We will learn to be the people who can say “But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up” Loving not our lives unto death!!! I will Awaken the Dawn!
Posted by appolus on December 30, 2010
Perhaps you find yourself in a solitary place today because of words spoken against you? Unjust, hurtful words, hateful words, things that are simply not true. Perhaps circumstances or tragedies have driven you to a place or darkness and desolation? David said that his enemies had prepared a net for his steps and had dug a pit in front of him (Psalm 57:6) and that his soul was “bowed down.”We see that David got tangled up in that net and fell headfirst into the pit. Perhaps you too have been tripped up in your walk and have fallen head first into the pit and find yourself in a similar darkness as King David? Read the rest of this entry »

God is sanctifying His Remnant
Posted by appolus on December 26, 2010
Β
Hi Saints, below is a dream a Canadian brother (in blue text) had. Please read and know that the Lord, I believe, is intensifying His call on His people. There is a prepartion taking place and it is, to say the least, intense. Trials and tribulations are increasing in saints around the world. There is a battle that is taking place in the unseen. When Daniel mourns in chapter 10, it is believed that he is mourning the indifference of his people and the fact that even although they were in a position to return home from their captivity, so many had decided to remain in their captive state.Β So much of Christendom is now livingΒ a Babylonian lifestyle, and yet there is yet opportunity to retun from exile. The time is short, but the opportunity still remains. Dan 10:12 Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words.Β God hears the prayers and the cries of His mourning Remnant, even now as we pray and cry out there is an unseen battle taking place. We already know that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principlaities and powers, against the worlds rulers of darkness of this age and against spiritual wickedness in high places. The battle is taking place even as we speak, this is the time that was revealed to Daniel. Very soon the battle will break onto the physical plane and this is why we are being prepared with such intensity, to prepare us for what shortly lies ahead.

The prodigal sons and those who love them!
Posted by appolus on December 4, 2010
Perhaps today you are feeling the weight and the burden of a lost loved one? Can I encourage you to stay in the light, stay near to Him. This light that is in you is the only hope for those that are lost to the darkness of this world. Let your love be a city set upon a hill. Let that light of hope and glory be a beacon to all who are lost. For if the light that is in you goes out, what hope for the lost?

My eyes have seen the King of Glory!
Posted by appolus on October 25, 2010
He was gazing at the God that they did not even know. He proclaimed that he saw the Glory of God and that his eyes had seen the King of Glory, Jesus, standing at the right hand of God. And with this, they finally killed him, not being able to stand it any longer.

My mothers testimony!
Posted by appolus on October 19, 2010
Last week my mother gave her testimony on our prayer conference call. What I like about the way that she gives her testimony is that she sticks to giving Jesus the glory. She actually suffered much violence and persecution for the name of Jesus, but it would be har to tell that from her testimony. You can hear it her , it starts about the 8.30 mark click here ->My mothers testimony.Β You can read more about her testimony at

The Remnant! Who are they? Are you part of the Remnant?
Posted by appolus on September 22, 2010
Do you know what is wrong with us as a Church today? We are taking ourselves for granted. We are assuming that which may not be true at all; that which is founded upon wishful hoping and not upon sound Biblical experience in many cases. We have not been disturbed enough. We have not allowed God to plough furrows on our backs. We have not dared to go before God and have the examination made. We are afraid of what God will find , and we would rather wait. Therefore we have waited and settled down. There has always been a small remnant and they have been in the midst of all the rest. A million might wish with their lips and worship with their lips, but only a small fragment truly worship in their hearts in a way that honors and pleases God. We do not need to imagine it as an indication of vast spiritual or high degree of holiness when we see a church door open and multitudes spew out on the sidewalk. Follow them home. Follow them a half a block and see how they live. That is the way to tell. “Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them'( Matt 7:20)

Can you say ” I have no King but Jesus?”
Posted by appolus on September 11, 2010
When your faced with a God that does not serve you. When you are robbed, beaten, cheated, taken advantage of. When someone close to you dies, a loved one is murdered, will you turn your back on God?Jesus did not stack up against Barabbas. Barabbas was a rebel against Rome. Jesus was silent on Rome. The crowd methodically rejected a captive and scourged Jesus until finally it came to the truth of the matter and it proclaimed ” We have no king but Caesar.” Shocking, isn’t it? But what about you? Can you truly say ” I have no King but Jesus?” Or are you too looking for someone to sort out the world?” Read the rest of this entry »

The rise of the remnant and the fall of the church!
Posted by appolus on September 9, 2010
There is a great multitude today who are desperately hungry and thirsty. All over the world the people dwell in great darkness and the darkness increases every day. Hell has opened its vaults and is beginning to spew out evil with increasing speed and urgency because it knows its time is short. There is desperate darkness coming and it is coming at us with alarming speed. Yet, as in the time of Noah, the world is ignorant of the impending disaster about to befall it. Like the children of Israel when Jesus says ” O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!”

Out with the rabbits and in with the Remnant! Revival in a Barn?
Posted by appolus on September 6, 2010
Last Sunday a journalist from a local paper came along to do a story about these people in the barn. Turns out she was an atheist. She ended up spending several hours. She seemed to enjoy it and told them that those three hours seemed like one. The story that she ended up writing, which was on the front page, ended up being a favorable one. It was entitled ” Humble beginnings.” Read the rest of this entry »
