Jesus is Revival

Posted by appolus on April 23, 2010

Revival is something that happens to us when the shekinah glory of the Lord comes down, when there is such an awareness of His presence that men and woman can can stand in the refining fire of God and exalt His holiness, fall on their faces in the awe and majesty that comes, not from a head knowledge, but from a radical encounter with a living God that has “stepped down.” When He steps down, time ceases to have meaning. The cares of this world disappear. The world of all possibilities open up. There is great joy, there is weeping, the lost cry out “is there mercy for me,” and they rejoice to find out , yes indeed there is mercy for the man of Calvary has come and walks in the midst of His people. Jesus, that name, the fullness of the Godhead, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is revival. God Himself is an encounter.

Arise and go down to the potter’s house!

Posted by appolus on March 30, 2010

My question to the Lord’s children, the Lord’s Church, is, will you arise and go down to the Potters house? Will you come to the Father and place yourself in His hand? Will you allow yourself to be marred, to be ruined for this world? Can you abandon yourself to His wheel and allow Him to create in you what He will? For He will not force you , He will not make you, but He will stand at the door of your heart and knock. Will you come to Him, with the fullness of your life, holding nothing back and allow Him to mar you, to ruin you? Will you step up to the door and open up your heart Read the rest of this entry »

Are you really an Evangelical?

Posted by appolus on March 25, 2010

I think that many “Evangelicals,” will be shocked to realize that they are actually “Anabaptists.” Actually I do not care for the title. It was a given name and typically, down through the ages, the various names that Gods remnant Church were given were names given by their oppressors.  There is a  reason that we see almost 90% of Evangelical children walk away from their “faith,” when they go to college, its because they were never saved in the first place. As an ex-Catholic, I know that almost every one of my friends, as soon as they left their parents homes, stopped going to Mass. We see the same thing happen to Evangelicals because the origin is the same, a State Church or denomination designed to encorporate the entire population rather than be a Church of believers. I think as you read this article you may be shocked to find out that you are not an Evangelical and if you had been alive 400 years ago, you would probably have  been hunted down and killed for your faith, by both Catholics and “Evangelicals.”

An Ancient Battle !

Posted by appolus on March 20, 2010

They have drunk of the water that flows from the Sanctuary of God, from the Well of Life, and from this have obtained a heart that cannot be comprehended by human mind or understanding. They have found that God helped them to bear the cross and they have overcome the bitterness of death. The fire of God burned in them. Their tabernacle was not here on the earth but was pitched in Eternity, and they had foundation and certainty for their faith. Their faith blossomed as a lily, their faithfulness as a rose, thir piety and uprightness as flowers of God’s planting.

Revival or Reformation?

Posted by appolus on February 22, 2010

It is my considered opinion that under the present circumstances we do not want revival at all. A widespread revival of the kind of Christianity we know today in America might prove to be a moral tragedy from which we would not recover in a hundred years.

Todays Rome?

Posted by appolus on February 18, 2010

The first three centuries of the church’s history prove that no earthly power can crush it. It is invincible to attacks from without. The witnesses of its sufferings and even its persecutors, become its converts and it grows more rapidly than it can be destroyed. The following period of nearly two hundred years shows that the union of the Church and the State, even when the powers of the mightiest Empire are put into the Church’s hands , do not enable her to save the State from destruction, for, in abandoning the position which her very name implies, of being “called out” of the world and of separation to Christ, she loses the power that comes from subjection to her Lord , exchanging it for an earthly authority that is fatal to herself.”

To Diligently Seek

Posted by appolus on February 15, 2010

I want deliberately to encourage this mighty longing after God. The lack of it has brought us to our present low estate. The stiff and wooden quality about our religious lives is a result of our lack of holy desire. Complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth. Acute desire must be present or there will be no manifestation of Christ to His people. He waits to be wanted. Too bad that with many of us He waits so long, so very long, in vain. The Joy of the Lord is my strength

Revolution?

Posted by appolus on January 7, 2010

You must become temporary residents or travelers in this world.
We have put our roots down in a world that we are only passing
through, to the point that the culture has overtaken faith. 1 Peter 2:11.
Peter tells us to be aliens to this world and to abstain from fleshly
desires that war against us. What are these things that war against
us? The very culture of self that we live in today – from sexual
perversion to self-centered greed, to the attitude that we deserve
anything we want. This culture has brought down basic values and
destroyed the family in this nation. Just like Lot in Sodom, we have
grown so comfortable with the life it provides us we don’t even care
about the sin around us. We have adjusted our religion to fit the
culture.  We are at a point where nothing shocks us anymore, but
as long as we can keep our comforts it’s OK.  We love this world
and the things it affords us so much, we have missed the narrow
path and are trying to turn a deaf ear to the warnings of God for us to repent.

The Saul spirit is rising! (beware)

Posted by appolus on December 23, 2009

Saints, the Spirit of the Lord has departed from the Established church. It now has a distressing spirit from the Lord. It is run through with many fears, it staggers to and fro. It runs to the left and to the right. It has run to a prosperity Gospel, a Gospel of health and wealth, name it and claim , word of faith movement, in a desperate attempt to move in faith and the things of God. It has also run to the politicians, to Washington, to the halls of earthly power because it has no heavenly power. They have also run to legalism and the confines of the Law and it has brought them to a place of self-loathing. They seek to gain peace for their souls, but it cannot be found, they are distressed.

The Remnants Reformation

Posted by appolus on December 18, 2009

In this post there are several articles grouped together in regard to the Remnant and the coming Reformation. I hope it will be a valuable resource. It can be a very lonely and confusing walk right now for Gods people, but it is very comforting to know that there are countless tens of thousands of Christians around the world who are walking the exact same narrow path that leads through this current desert. I believe that the “river is rising,” and that there is a depth of feeling that the drought and the famine could be coming to and end, for Gods sake and for His glory. There is a critical mass of His people who are now in this stage “As the deep panteth for the waterbrooks so my soul longeth after thee.”

How to build a church!

Posted by appolus on December 14, 2009

In the new move of God, when He pours out His new wine into new wineskins, it will be important to know how to build a church. Below you will find an article that lays out a very basic concept, yet it merely follows the pattern laid down by Scripture. When the dust clears and the old structures are gone then the building can begin. No one can tell how long it will be until the persecution starts, but one can never go wrong by following the Biblical model.

Are you a Starved Christian who has never experienced the Glory of God?

Posted by appolus on December 12, 2009

“Were a starved generation that has never seen the glory of God. We have men and woman in their 20s and 30s who have neve seen the glory of God. They’re Christians, they’re in Bible schools, but they have never seen the glory of God. They have never known what it is to be in a service where the presence of God is so awe-inspiring that you cant speak aloud.

They have never heard God preached about so high and lifted up that they went home in silence and would’nt talk. When A.B.Simpson preached in Buffalo, New York, he preached on the glory of Jesus Christ and when he was finished , they dismissed the meeting and no one got out of their seats. They sat there because they were afraid to get up and walk around in the presence of God. But a whole generation of young people have never seen anything like that. “Oh God restore thy glory by whomsoever thout wilt restore thy glory.” (Tozer,Fellowship of the Burning Heart)

Tozer was writing about the problem of the age. Can I suggest that it is a deeper problem today. The departed presence of the Living God from His Temple is now almost complete. The stage is set. Perhaps you are a young person who has never experienced what Tozer was writing about? Perhaps you are a not so young person who has never experienced what Tozer was writing about? The new wineskin is coming.

God is raising up an Army of Gideons

Posted by appolus on December 10, 2009

Many today are attempting to build a proper kind of altar to the Lord
without removing the old Baal altar first, which doesn’t work. The
BUILDING AND PLANTING comes after the tearing down.

The Glory of God’s presence has departed(but will return)

Posted by appolus on December 6, 2009

Pastor Brian Long , a very good friend of mine, a dear brother in Christ, preach’s on the the departed presence of God. Yet, what has departed, will return. God has His remnant people and He will never leave them nor forsake them.  I had a similar word from the Lord back in May https://scottishwarriors.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/the-glory-of-gods-presence-is-departing/ God is showing this to His people all over the world. God is about to birth something new, a new wineskin for this new wine that He will pour forth as He returns to a rebuilt Temple.

Isa 43:19

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

A Vision of the Lost

Posted by appolus on December 3, 2009

And I saw out of this dark angry ocean, a mighty rock that rose up with it’s summit towering high above the black clouds that overhung the stormy sea. And all around the base of this great rock I saw a vast platform. Onto this platform, I saw with delight a number of the poor struggling, drowning wretches continually climbing out of the angry ocean. And I saw that a few of those who were already safe on the platform were helping the poor creatures still in the angry waters to reach the place of safety.

The Glorious presence of the Living God

Posted by appolus on December 1, 2009

Hi Guys, I felt led to share this recording with you about the glorious presence of the Living God. Now the quality is not the best, it is a recording of a conference call prayer meeting from several months ago.  Yet the subject matter, to me, is of vital importance. Perhaps you know nothing of His presence? Maybe you have heard other Christians talking about the presence of God but it has alway been a bit of a mystery to you. Maybe you have known the presence of God in your past but it has been many years since you have felt your “heart burn within you.” I pray that this simple recording would arouse a hunger and a thirst in you for the Living God.  Click here  Conference Call Barnsdall – Frank McEleny

95 THESES TO THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH

Posted by appolus on November 5, 2009

These are challenging words to the Church from a good friend of mine, Greg Gordon of Sermonindex.net ministries. Greg himself does not believe that the Evangelical church is finished. This is one of the few area’s that we disagree. The new wine that is coming cannot be poured into old wineskin, just as there was no room in Catholicism for Luthers 95 Theses although many at the time argued that there was, history of course has proven them wrong. The reformation was only a limited reform with much of the model of Catholicism retained. The remnant church of the end times will be radically different, praise God. It will not be a Catholic model, it will be an Acts model. Just as the Catholics fought the Lutherens, so the Evangelicals will srongly resist any attempt to model the church of Acts.
