Jesus, conquering Hero
Posted by appolus on December 23, 2008
A single tear falls from the Fathers face as He sees His Son return victorious. As the Father stands, Jesus, riding His majestic white stallion with a two-edged sword at His side, sees His Father. He lifts His head up towards the light and the glory. His horse majestically walks the path avoiding the golden crowns that lie beneath its feet, undisturbed by the cheers of the thousands, no the millions. And they sing “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty.” Read the rest of this entry »

There is Therefore now no condemnation!Let the Sleeping army of God arise!
Posted by appolus on December 17, 2008
Oh what a glorious freedom. Free indeed, free indeed , free indeed. Free indeed to stand and fight. To battle even unto death, with my fellow freed men. I pray today that those whom the Son has set free will push the doors of their captivity of wretchedness, that they would realize their freedom, that they would reckon their freedom and walk out of their cells into the glorious sunlight of no condemnation and join the Lord’s army in these the final days of the battle, one more battle in the war that is already won. Divided we fall!
Posted by appolus on December 12, 2008
The real fight, brothers and sisters is the fight between light and darkness. Does your walk in this life generate light? Does the warmth of your love, first for the brethren and then for the world, draw all men to Christ in you, who dwell in cold darkness? Will the Lord say to you “Well done good and faithful servant, your theology was better than your brothers?”

A Genuine Outpouring in Greenock, the beginnings of Revival
Posted by appolus on December 3, 2008
I have just returned from Greenock so I apologize for those who check this site regularly. We held a revival conference there and had about 500 Christians there from over 20 different countries. I believe that this is the beginning of a movement of God’s people. The best of the Evangelicals, combined with the best of the “Pentecostals.” This was no easy task and was covered in prayer. The enemy was violently apposed to even the concept of this because for centuries he has divided and conquered. Below is one man’s take on what happened in Greenock. I will be writing my own thoughts and stories of how the Lord moved. The day of the “Bapticostal,” is coming. ……………………….

Begging for a Stranger(Jesus is Calling, Tenderly Calling)
Posted by appolus on November 10, 2008
They walked down the rest of the stairs and into the Citadel, my mum said to Mrs Mapes that she was “coming home.” As they walked in, the band and the choir were singing “Jesus is calling, Tenderly calling, Calling for you and for me.” My mother was already weeping. Read the rest of this entry »

Why Did Senator Obama Win?
Posted by appolus on November 5, 2008
I wrote the piece below last February. Perhaps this election has taught the American Christians something, I hope so. When all is said and done, this world needs hope. In a world of ever increasing darkness, there is a more desparate need for light. Like a moth to a flame, people will reach out in time of need. And if the Church, the Royal Priesthood ,is not shining the light of Christ, which represents true hope, a blessed hope, then the world will look to itself to find it. Unfortunately, no man can give the world or America what it needs, unless it is the Man, Christ Jesus. So when the glory of the election victory fades for the majority, and as the coming years progress and the world goes deepr into trouble, let us pray that the Body of Christ is ready to reach out and offer the world true hope, a hope that conquers fear, a hope that triumphs despite adversity, a hope that replaces mundane living and merely exsiting with a joy and a purpose in life. This is all to be found in our Lord Jesus. We as Christians must live that before we can share that. This is an historic day for the country of America, whatever side you voted for. Only in this land could Barack Obama do what he just did. A balm has just been placed on a 400 year old wound. Long may the healing continue.

Just One Drop (Just as I am)
Posted by appolus on October 29, 2008
Inside my heart, like a might river, grace and love and mercy flowed changing everything, healing everything. I opened my eyes and knew that Jesus was my Lord and Saviour, the battle was over and I have never again had a battle like that. It was after this Sunday that every Sunday after that, for about six months, I knelt at the alter and the Lord “worked,” on me. Every sermon was for me. Every tear was for Him. A lifetime of sin and pain and hurts and the Lord was dealing with it all. Oh the Love of God. As I write this I am thinking of that Old Hymn “Just as I am.” Indeed……………..”Oh Lamb of God I come, I come.”

Cheap Grace ?
Posted by appolus on October 23, 2008
Yes, Salvation is a finished and complete work, we can neither add to it, nor take anything from it, it was purchased for us at a terrible cost, but, to accept it fully and walk in the newness of life, it will cost us everything. For the sake of the kingly rule of Christ are we ready to sell everything we have for this treasure in the field? Will we pluck out our eye or cut of the hand that offends? To walk in the Spirit, are we ready to pick up our cross? Are we ready to die daily?

A Devastating Indictment of the American Church(Paul Washer)
Posted by appolus on October 23, 2008
On Wednesday evening, the 22nd of October, Paul Washer delivered a sermon that should shake the American church http://www.tenindictments.com/ Ten points were delivered and questions the whole premise of who we are and what we do and the validity of conversions. There is a coming reformation of the church and coming judgement and it will indeed begin in the house of the Lord. The preaching of Calvary and Jesus and Him crucified will return. The true power of the Holy Spirit, exemplified by the Apostle Peter as he preached to the crowd after Pentecost , will return. At Pentecost, Peter spoke with “Katanusso,” power, this is the power to “stab the hearers in the heart.” The word itself means to “violently agitate, to penetrate.” This power was so radical that the crowd cried out “what must we do.” We have seen this power in genuine revivals, now, if we are so blessed, in the coming reformation, we will see this power again.
This is an indictment that reaches across the board. To Evangelicals on the one side, and to Charismatics on the other. May the Lord move in power.

His Promises are Yes and Amen
Posted by appolus on October 13, 2008
The sweet all consuming joy of His presence. This heart of a lion that beats within the chest of a lamb. This all consuming power of love that rises victoriously above all the battles of life. What battle field do you find yourself on today? Do you battle the unseen enemy of unforgiveness? Or has someone wronged you and bitterness knocks at your door?

Sarah Palin ?
Posted by appolus on October 11, 2008
A new moral power will flow back into the Church when we stop preaching social adjustment and begin to preach social repudiation and cross carrying. Modern Christians hope to save the world by being like it, but it will never work. The Church’s power over the world springs out of her unlikeness to it, never from her integration into it.

An Evil and Adulterous Generation
Posted by appolus on September 28, 2008
The Lord will not commit to those who have built their houses on sinking sand. This is why we see the “house,” of “believers,” come tumbling down when faced with “unanswered prayers.” For they are not established on the solid Rock of Jesus Christ and the cross of Calvary. Does God speak to His people ?
Posted by appolus on September 26, 2008
That small still voice, the voice of the shepherd speaking to His sheep, and His sheep recognizing His voice. The Holy Spirit whispering into the hearts of believers. The Holy Spirit leading and guiding and magnifying the Lord Jesus in our hearts.

Create in me a clean heart
Posted by appolus on September 20, 2008
When a sinner cries out in brokenness, recognizing his sin, then he finds mercy and the hand of God does not destroy, it upholds. Whether that sinner is coming for the first time or whether, like David, that person is a follower of God, the person who humbles himself before the living God and acknowledges his sin will find mercy rather than judgement. Digging holes in the Valley(Waiting for the Rain)
Posted by appolus on September 11, 2008
Today, the Church is moving further and further away from its destination. When the destination ceases to be God Himself, and the destination becomes something other than His presence, His Tabernacle, His alter, His throne room, then we simply get further and further away from Him and the narrow path that leads to Him. Only by getting of at the “next exit,” and doing a “u-turn,” can we get back on the narrow path. Read the rest of this entry »
