There is a common saying that ” the world is your stage.” This does not mean that we are all actors in the sense of the Greek word meaning hypocrites, but it does mean that we are all aware that we have an audience.This audience may simply be our husband or or wives or our children. It could be our extended family, our workplace or our neighbors. Yet this much is sure, we present an image to the ” world.”
What shapes your image? Is it your fears? Your insecurities? Your pretensions? Is it God that shapes you? When it is God that shapes us then our fears and insecurities and pretensions are dramatically reduced. For most of us this is a process. What does you audience think of you? What do they see when they see you? The Greek word for actor is hypocrite, perhaps you are an actor in that sense? The image that you present to the world is not a true image of who you are.
In my estimation the mature saints have one thing in common, for the most part they are transparent, what you see is what you get. This is not always the way to make friends and influence people but it is the road to authenticity. A rare and beautiful thing, even if it is a diamond in the rough. Are you authentic? Are you transparent? You see, light can travel in and through the transparent ones, yet those who are shaped by fears and insecurities and pretensions create an inner landscape of darkness and shadows. The fear of man leads to spiritual death, the fear of God leads to life and that more abundantly.
Imagine living your whole life fearing man, for that is what the root cause of all pretension is. It is bondage. Now imagine living your life totally free of that bondage. Jesus said when He stood up in the temple that He had come to set the captives free. He had come to heal the broken-hearted and restore that which had been crushed. Brothers and sisters, we can live in freedom from this and every other bondage. The Scriptures tell us that He whom them Son sets free is free indeed.
If you live in fear of what other people think of you, can I ask you to begin to let it fall away. The source of your victory in this will be to know what God thinks of you. Let me tell you. He loves you with an ever-lasting love. You are the apple of His eye. You are His child. His thoughts towards you are more numerous than the sands so the sea. Think about that, God knows you better than you or anyone else knows you and He loves you with a burning passion. If, knowing everything about you, warts and all, He loves you still, then what does it matter if a mere mortal thinks differently?
Rest in the sure knowledge that you are loved and let the chains and the burdens of image that over time are so exhausting, simply fall away. God will help you in this. Your circle of ” friends,” may become smaller, but do you really need friends who who only like you for the image that you have created as opposed to who you really are?

It is very easy to love a God whom you believe will bless you and keep you safe from all harms, but this is not the Biblical God. Can He bless you? Yes of course. Can He keep you safe? Yes of course. But, there is nothing safe about the genuine Christian walk. There is nothing guaranteed other than He would never leave us nor forsake us. We have been called to the battle-field and not the playground.
Multiple millions of saints before us have been martyred and God was faithful to them all. God was faithful to His Son as He hung on the cross. God was faithful to Paul in the depths of the dungeon. God was faithful to Peter as he was crucified upside down. God was faithful to Stephen as cruel stones rained down on his body and he had a vision of heaven. God was faithful to me when my own son died. He was faithful to me when my other son was burned over 60% of his body. He was faithful to me when my other son was born with Down Syndrome . He is faithful, despite all the circumstances of the world , He is faithful.
The love of the saints for the everlasting God is not based on the circumstances of life, it is not as fickle as that. Our love for Him is not some whimsical thing. It is rooted and grounded in our encounter with the Truth. We are taken by it, it becomes a fire that burns in our bones and no force in all the universe can cause us to let it slip from our grasp. This confounds the enemy of our soul. Look how he tried to buy the devotion of Jesus by taking him to a high tower and give Him all the nations of the world if He would only bow to Him. Jesus, by-pass Calvary, he says. You dont need to suffer, there is another way.
There is no other way, It is by Calvary we walk and it is because of Calvary that we pick up our crosses every day and die to this world and live for Him and follow Jesus. It is a narrow path and few there are that find it for the broad path leads to ease in this life and death in the next as opposed to death here on earth and eternal life in the next. Who can not only bow to the cross but embrace it in the midst of it all? It is not natural brothers and sisters, it is supernatural.

There has been a lot of talk about Nazis in the last couple of days. The hypocrisy makes me feel quite sick. Most will know that one of my sons has Down Syndrome, he is now 24. What many will not know is that the Nazis first victims were the mentally handicapped. It was not just the Nazis, it was an accepted program through-out Germany, carried out in hospitals by doctors and nurses across the land. CBS recently tweeted out congratulations to Iceland because they have almost a 100% rate of identifying and killing Down Syndrome children in the womb. Now, will the real Nazis please stand up, the rest pale in comparison to the genocide that these people are carrying out throughout the world.

I like to study people and groups and society and how they react and so on. I am fascinated by it. I believe myself to be relatively well read on it as well. The Salem witch trials has been, for over 300 years, a cautionary tale of what happens when there is a prolonged period of mass hysteria. Due process is put to one side and the main thrust of attack is false accusation. Once the accusation is made, given the mass hysteria, the condemned has no chance. In earlier versions in Europe, once the witch was named, she would be tossed into the river. If she drowned she was innocent, if she did not drown she was guilty and then actually drowned or burnt at the stake.
Before you sophisticated people laugh at the moronic actions of our forebears, can I suggest that we are doing the exact same thing today. There has been several months of hysteria in this country. Facts are no longer important, it is the accusation that counts. Consider President Trump. In the last seven months he has been a Russian spy. No facts, just accusation. He has been an anti-Semite, despite the fact that his daughter and son-in-law are Jewish ( you can’t make this stuff up) He is a racist. He is a Nazi. That’s quite a little list that is going on there, and all born out of hysteria.
Now let me suggest that in the coming months and years that this hysteria will not subside. The inquisition lasted almost seven hundred years so I can easily see a period of time when all the skills that the hysterical mob has amassed, aided and abetted by feckless politicians and so-called community leaders and social media, will be employed to destroy their enemies. In order to destroy someone nowadays they are first labelled and shamed publicly. The pressure is enormous to fall in line with the mob. The day is coming that if you do not bow down to the gods of this world, you will be destroyed.
Christians in particular, who disagree with gay marriage and identity politics and so on will be the targets of modern-day witch trials. Once the accusation is made, only drowning will save you from the fire, but one way or another, you will be removed from among them and they will celebrate it and believe they are doing God’s work.

There is a symbiotic relationship between the far right and the far left. One cannot thrive without the other. In order for one to rise the other must rise. They draw strength from each other and it is a sick cycle. It swings back and forth like a great pendulum. In short, it is the established society in which we live. History is the record of the swings back and forth. Genuine Christianity is neither left nor right. It is not a sub-culture but a counter culture. Unless you are hated by both sides then you are doing something wrong.

Their politics shall be all blasted, and turned into foolishness. When God will destroy the nation he will destroy the counsel thereof (Isa_19:3), by taking away wisdom from the statesmen (Job_12:20), or setting them one against another or by his providence breaking their measures even when they seemed well laid; so that the princes of Zoan are fools: they make fools of one another, every one betrays his own folly, and divine Providence makes fools of them all, Isa_19:11. Pharaoh had his wise counsellors. Egypt was famous for such. But their counsel has all become brutish; they have lost all their forecast; one would think they had become idiots. (Matthew Henry)
And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it and I will destroy its wisdom and they shall seek to idols and to enchanters and to the mediums and to the future-tellers. (Isa 19:3)
You see, when God judges a nation in this fashion he robs their leaders of their wisdom. He brings about situations where the best counselors are at a complete loss as to how to move forward and solve their problems and their problems only mount up higher and higher. This is undoubtedly the situation America faces right now and since it is God that sits in judgement, there are no resolutions to their mounting problems and crisis. Just when they seem to get a handle on one problem and seek to breathe a little easier, quickly the next judgment comes.
We see in Isa 19:1 that ‘behold, Jehovah rides on a swift cloud and comes into Egypt.” Now, how many of us know that when God visits a particular land for the purpose of judgment, that it will not go well for that land. You see, He sits upon the cloud, meaning, that our God is above all resistance. He will do what He has come to do, no one will resist Him. Now the Lord has come to Egypt on a cloud. What does this mean for Egypt? Well, God was going to deal with them directly. There would be no foreign invasion and then captivity, no God was going to prove something. The methods that God will employ are truly frightening. He would use their own brutish natures and divisions against them. They would destroy themselves.
In a combination of natural disasters and His sovereignty, which allows Him to effect the minds of men, God would bring Egypt down. As we see how and why God was judging Egypt, I want you to keep America in mind. I am going to suggest to you that God has arrived on a swift cloud and has come into America, even as we speak. Now , I know that this staggers the mind. Please pray that the Lord will give you eyes to see what is truly unfolding in our time and why.
We are, as you read this, bereft of leadership. Judgement from God. We are slowly but surely turning on each other. Judgment from God. Instead of being united as a nation, we are divided into a myriad of groups. Blacks, whites, Hispanics, gay, straight, liberal, conservative, alt right, alt left, black lives matters, blue lives matters, rich, poor, socialist, capitalist. On and on and on it goes. Judgement from God. It will not end well folks. There is one solution and yet I fear it is beyond our grasp, repent and fall down and humble ourselves.
The truly frightening thing about when” the Lord comes down,” is the fact that He has already assessed the situation and found it wanting. The writing is truly upon the wall when the Lord comes down. He came down and spoke with Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah. He was willing, for the sake of a very few righteous people, to stay His hand, yet He found none. Instructions were then given to Lot to leave. God’s people must be prepared. The time of the Lord is at hand.
Idols of Egypt shall tremble at His presence. And the heart of Egypt shall melt in its midst. (Isa 19:1) Let not our hearts melt as we see what is unfolding. Stand fast brothers and sisters and stay close to the very presence that cause the Egyptians hearts to melt. That very same presence will cause out hearts to soar and to be strong in the midst of calamity.

If you sell your soul to fill the pews then the price will be the Holy Spirit, He will not be bought. No amount of professional music, lighting or dry ice can replace Him. There can be a tremendous amount of noise and activity all day long on Mount Carmel but no God. How long shall the people waver between two opinions? We cannot serve other gods and call down the one true living God and expect Him to respond. More dry ice?

We are living in a generation of Christians raised on the “blessings,” mentality. Preach a few weeks in a row, or even once, a Holy Spirit filled message about how every saint is called to suffer persecution, how God has never promised them riches, and how His blessings often come wrapped up in trials and see if you are invited back. Christendom of our day craves acceptance by the world because they want to be liked and not persecuted. It is for this reason the world has flooded into the church and the pillars of truth are crumbling under their feet. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Almost every mega church in the country either teaches prosperity, health and wealth or word of faith, or are compromised with the world or a mixture of all of the above. It is a watered down Christianity that is being preached for the most part and it is anemic converts that are coming forth.

A man’s status in this life typically is reflected by home, his car, his belongings. The richer a man is, the more elaborate is his dwelling place, his temple. He fills his house with symbols of his wealth and status. The man of God also decorates his temple, the temple of the Holy Spirit, with riches. His dwelling place will be no less elaborate than the richest men on earth. He will decorate his temple with the finest gold of unconditional love. His walls are encrusted with the jewels of forgiveness and mercy. His windows are draped with opulent coverings of meekness and humility. Trophies of grace hang on every wall. They are framed with the finest materials of patience and kindness.
Do we pursue the riches and the glories of heaven with the same vigor and single-mindedness that men here on earth pursue gold and silver? And the treasures that we have attained in Christ, do we protect them with all the strength and resources that we have? Do we value the treasures of our heart in the same way that rich men value their wealth? There is a direct correlation between how much we value something and the lengths we will go to protect it. Guard your hearts brothers and sisters in Christ, guard it with everything that is in you for we have an enemy who seeks to steal and destroy what we have. Oftentimes Satan knows the value of what we have better than we do.
The rich man suffers loss when he gives what he has to another. He knows this and is held captive by greed. Greed is the jail-keeper of worldly wealth, possessions and time. Paradoxically, the Spiritually rich man, when he gives what he has to another, becomes richer in the treasures of heaven. As he gives he magnifies God and is increased in the spiritual capital of the Kingdom.Spiritual capital is love, joy, peace, forgiveness, meekness, humility, patience and kindness and righteousness. As we share these gifts with others we increase riches in the earth.
The treasure of the world are finite. There is only so much gold and so much silver in the earth. When the last of it is mined then there shall be no more. It will be hoarded and stored away in safes and bank-vaults rarely if ever seeing the light of day. The treasures of the Kingdom of God are infinite and they multiply exponentially as they are freely given to others. Shall we be known by the opulence of of our earthly possessions brothers and sisters? Or rather, shall we be known buy the opulence of our heavenly gifts. Shall we pursue status in this world or shall we store up treasures in heaven?

The road gets ever narrower and the the climb becomes steeper, the deeper that the saint walks into the Kingdom of God. There is no way back , nothing to go back too, there is only onwards and upwards no matter what the road ahead holds. When the world observes the saint who walks in the kingdom they merely see with natural eyes. When they see trials and tribulations they see somehow failure and rejection. But our trials are the chisel blows. The great Sculptor is shaping us that we may rightly fit into one glorious temple, a dwelling place for our Lord.
Who will yield to the chisel’s blow? Who will stand firm in the midst of trials and afflictions and persecutions? Who will embrace such a walk that against the blackest backdrop our light shines out and testifies of His glory? Will ye yield Christian? Will you allow yourself to be shaped? Will you stretch out your own hands for the Master’s cause? Can you rejoice in the deepest valley?
The strongest blows against the enemies Kingdom is the joyful noise that arises from the deepest valleys. In a place where others weep and gnash and despair, the man or woman of God, the Kingdom saint, rejoices in His Lord and the devil is silenced. Jesus prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Have you oh Christian sat at this table? It is the table of the Lord and goodness and mercy follows us all the days of our walk along the narrow way.

The Lord has a cross tailor made for each of us. Yet, He does not require us to pick it up. We can lay it down. And every time we lay it down it is harder to pick it up. We can grudgingly pick it up and walk crying out “woe is me.” Few are the men and women who gladly pick it up. They gladly pick it up because it draws them deep into the Father’s heart and will. Not my will Lord but thine be done. I am coming Lord. We can count the cost and embrace the cross or we can lay it down and suffer the loss.

If we could see around the next bend on the narrow path then it would not take faith to continue along it. When we leave the harbor and there is no horizon then arriving at the other side of the world would not take faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. Strange and counter intuitive isn’t it, that in this world something that is observed is the evidence of reality but in the other world, something not seen is the evidence of spiritual reality. One more glorious paradox and evidence of how God works outside of limitations.

What will happen to those people living in the Church who only have a reputation of being alive but are dead? What will happen to the mere professors of Christianity who are not possessors of Christianity? What will become of those who are only outward religious?… They will walk in black, the blackness of God’s hell. They will walk in black, the blackness of hopeless despair. They will walk in black, the blackness of incomparable anguish. They will walk in black, the blackness of damnation.
They will walk in black forever because they are found unworthy. Oh you who profess to be a Christian, examine yourself. Oh ministers examine yourselves! Oh you who make a profession of Christianity today, look within your hearts and search your souls. You live in the sight of a holy God, Oh stop and search your own hearts. It is not a small matter of which I plead, but a matter of double importance. I beg you examine and cross examine your own souls and see if you are in the path of righteousness for it would be terrible for you to find in the end that you were in the Church but not of It!…
Oh I think I can hear them saying in hell, “Here is a preacher, here is a deacon, here is a church member, here is a man who has had the wine of the Lord’s Supper on his lips, here is a man that has the baptism water on his clothes.” Aah, take care my friends, there are only a few people in Sardis who will walk dressed in white. Make sure you are a part of that few! (Spurgeon)
What will happen indeed. This blackness will exponentially increase as the days of this world come to a close. With every passing day that draws us closer to the return of Jesus, the gross darkness falls and only the true light of Christ will shine in those days. For those who dwell in shades of grey will simply be swallowed up by the greater darkness. Grey can disappear into darkness but light and darkness cannot coexist. And so when the gross darkness comes then light must stand apart and everything outside of the light of Christ will be consumed. It must be so. 1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

When we severed our ties with the fatherland, we became not only strangers among strangers, but we were cut of from our own nation and became strangers to our own people. Our pulse no longer throbs in the rhythm with the hearts of our kindred. We have become strangers;strangers to those we left and strangers to those we came to….Let me repeat:We have become outsiders to the people we left, and we have become outsiders among the people to whom we came. Thus we have ceased to be a harmonious part of a greater whole;we have become something apart,something torn loose, without any organic connections either here in America or over in Norway….In short, we have become rootless. (Ole E Rolvaag, The third life of Per Smervik)
I read this recently and it really jumped out at me. As an immigrant it speaks to me and describes richly what I have felt. Having left Scotland and come to America I no longer belonged anywhere. In America I, with my accent, will always be a foreigner and thus not truly American, not American born and bred. And as someone who left the old country behind then I have become a stranger to the people in the land of my birth. It can be deeply impactful and disorienting to live in this state of rootlessness. It has deeply pained me at various times in my life. Yet, in all of this, there has been an anchor for my soul. Having been born again into the Kingdom of God and having become a stranger to this world I realize that my experience is a deeply biblical one. Time and time again we are told in the Scriptures that we are pilgrims an sojourners, strangers and aliens and exiles in this present world. “But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.” (Heb 11:16)
The desire of almost every man or women who left all that they have known behind and struck out into the great unknown was the desire for a “better country,” a better way of life, better prospects a future for their children. I felt that deeply myself in coming to America. Now, prior to coming to Jesus I was deeply disturbed by who I was. There was a great desire in me to find peace from the raging storm, to find holiness from a life of sin, to be a better man, actually to be a man period. I was looking for the “better country,” of life itself. I found that and I was born again into a kingdom that was not of this world and became an altogether stranger. Now not only estranged from Scotland and a stranger in America, now I had become a stranger to this whole world. A world where I would never belong, a world in which I had become an exile, an alien, a sojourner, a pilgrim merely passing through belonging to no where in this world but belonging, by virtue of my new birth, to a land that was and is and is to come. Yet, glory to God, now I was no longer rootless. I was no stranger to my fellow strangers, to my fellow pilgrims. I now belonged to them with ties that ran to the depths of my very soul. So to my fellow pilgrims and sojourners I say lift up your heads and take one more step, for every step leads us one step closer to where we have never been yet have always belonged.

Phi 2:5 For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
And so, Jesus, being found in the likeness of man, humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. How many of us know that when a friend or a family member is dying, or seriously ill, then we come to them and comfort them? There are doctors and nurses to ease the pain and to try and help. In the spiritual realm, when we are called to die, there is no such comfort. And yet we try and minimize the pain. We call on friends and loved ones for help, which they often try to do. We want to die nice comfortable deaths to the flesh. If we could choose, we would choose to “die in our sleeps.” A nice clean death, yet there is no such thing in the spiritual.
No, in the midst of dying to ourselves we are called to life, spiritual life. In the seemingly endless paradoxes between life in the spirit and our life on this earth we are called to have the mind of Christ and have the life of Christ in us. It is in the midst of dying to ourselves that we find the hidden treasures of life in the Spirit. This is life, this is the crucified life and we find it as we humble ourselves and take on the form of a servant and walk in obedience to our heavenly calling.
Humility has a tremendous power. The less that we think of ourselves, the more impactful we become in this world. The higher a platform we erect for ourselves the higher and greater the impact of the fall. When we stay low and humble and put others before ourselves, when we think more highly of others than we do of ourselves we are insulating ourselves to a great degree from the troubles of the world. The Scriptures tell us to “humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will raise you up.” This is a universal principal. Can you even begin to imagine what this world would be like if those who dwell in the corridors of power would follow these dictate from God?

Psalm 51: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving-kindness; according to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I confess my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done evil in your sight; that you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge……………Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
So we see that the principals of submission and surrender leads to humility by David. He identifies this truth “You desire truth in the inward parts.” And also “Cast me not away from your presence oh Lord and take not your Holy Spirit from me.” Let me ask you this day, do you feel “cast away,” from His presence? Does it feel like the Holy Spirit has been taken from you? Let me ask this question also, do you have “truth in the inward parts?” What is it that is keeping you from an intimate relationship with the Lord or being restored to an intimate relationship with the Lord? Whatever it is, is it worth it?
Martha says to Jesus after her brother died “If you had only been here my brother would not have died.” To this Jesus gives Martha a great revelation “I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who believes in me, though he die, yet he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? ”
Jesus asks Martha to confirm that she believe this. When Mary finally comes and makes the same accusation to Jesus, at His feet, a familiar place to her, Jesus says nothing but “He weeps.” How sad for the Lord that even those closest to Him, those who loved Him with such depth, could , in effect, accuse Him of not caring.
Have you ever made a similar accusation to Jesus? I know I have, oh precious Lord forgive me. May all the tears I shed at your feet be tears of love and devotion and faith, may it always be so Lord. If we truly believe in the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and the lover of our souls should we not refrain from putting that which is most precious to us behind a great stone.
Have we locked away that most intimate part of us? Has that what is most precious to us, and most precious to our Lord, been buried behind a great stone of disappointment or sin? Has the garden of our hearts, the most intimate place, become a grave, a place of death and darkness? Have we robed ourselves in death clothes? Have we covered up painful unrealized expectations in layers of flesh, in layers of death?
Jesus commands that the stone be rolled away! He further commands that we come forth in life. He speaks to death, just as He spoke to the storm, and He rebukes it. Death, where is your victory? Can you resist the word of the Lord? You cannot! So brothers and sisters, if physical death cannot resist the word of the Lord, how much less the spiritual dark place that you have possibly retreated to? Even darkness becomes light to our Lord.
Today, if you find yourself in a dark place behind a great stone, know that it is a place of death. Yet, know this, the Word of God calls you to come forth out of darkness into His marvelous light. Can you hear the Lord call you today? Listen, He is calling. He loves you. He has wept over you. He died for you. And if He died for you while you were yet in your sin, if He loved you that much, how much more now? Choose to believe it this day and reject the lie that He does not care. Reject everything that would keep you from coming forth whether that be sin or a cold heart. Do that today and He will restore unto you the joy of your salvation and He will renew a right spirit within you.

There is something about the butterfly
That once was tethered to earth
Suddenly released from its shackles
To fly in the heavens and serve
No longer bound by its original state
Gazing at the sky and having to wait
Now to fly in the heavens without limit
Ever closer to God with each passing minute
I too was bound by earthly limitations
No spiritual thoughts nor heavenly expectations
Just trudging along and playing the game
Knowing that yesterday, today and tomorrow’d be the same
I could not see beyond my earthly horizon
Nothing in my life that was even surprising
I knew all too well of my limitations
I was shackled and bolted to my earthly foundations
Then along came my King and set my soul free
He gave me my wings and eyes that could see
And a heart that knew I was no longer bound
So I flapped my wings and my feet left the ground
And now I soar in the heavens above
Lifted higher and higher in the updrafts of Love
No longer mindful of my earthly things
Just praising my Lord for my butterfly wings.

John 1:4 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
All the sins of the world would be laid upon Him. And in the darkest moment of history, one that cannot be imagined, the Father turned His head and looked away. The full horror of hell, now visited upon the one who was one with the Father, and He would suffer our punishment in our place. And in the most agonizing cry ever uttered, Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me.” Only when one comes before God for judgment, and then cast away from His presence, will that one even begin to imagine the horror Jesus suffered for each and every one of us.
The Character of Jesus is higher than the highest heavens. His love and compassion and mercy and obedience are beyond what our feeble minds can comprehend. And since we can only compare with what we know, we can say with full assurance, and still fall pitifully short, that our Saviors love would render the deepest ocean to but a single tear from the Masters eye. The sun that blazes brilliantly in the sky, but a spark compared to our Lords burning passion. The universe and all others combined, smaller than the smallest chamber of His heart.
This is the God we serve; this is the Jesus of the Gospels; this is Jesus, God amongst us: He is the Bread of Life, The True vine, the Good shepherd, the Light of the World, He is the way, the Truth and the Life, The Gate for the sheep, Yahweh, He is our Victorious Champion, He is Master and Lord, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, He is the Resurrection and the Life, the Lamb of God, He is worthy to be praised, the Hope of mankind, He is every breath that I take, Mighty councilor, the Almighty, The Christ, My Savior, The Anointed One, The Prince of Peace, The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End.
He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith, the Messiah, The Potter, The Comforter, The Conqueror, Creator, Ancient of Days, The Living Water, Majestic, Omnipotent, The King Eternal, He is the Everlasting Father, The Exalted One, He is faithful and True, A Father to the fatherless, this Fire that burns within, He is my Rock and my Fortress, The Foundation of the world, The Fountain of Life, The God that Healeth thee, He is Higher than the highest heavens, Incorruptible, Infallible, My Keeper, The Lion of Judah, My Righteousness, My Strength, Merciful, He is the mighty One of Israel. He is Perfect…………….He is the Lord my God and He is one God. I shall love the Lord my God with all of heart. I shall praise the Lord my God with all of my soul………….Let Jesus be praised! He is all these things and so much more. But most importantly, He is alive!

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.(Gal 6:7-8)
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
(1Co 6:9-10)
You see the pattern , there is a great propensity to be deceived. We can overly spiritualize the scriptures when it comes to speaking of not battling against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. We must remember that the forces of spiritual wickedness uses flesh and blood to come against the saints. Does that mean that the saints should war against them physically? No, of course not. Our battle uses something much more powerful that the weapons or the might of this world.
The weapon that we wield is the truth spoken in righteousness and love. It is a devastating weapon saints. It cuts to the heart, indeed it stabs the heart of the hearers either for good of for ill. It never leaves the hearers unaffected. Peter, using this weapon preached by the power of the Holy Spirit and thousands were saved, Stephen uses the same weapon and was endued with the same power and the fell on him and killed him
A great lie has invaded Christendom. Right has become wrong. A gross darkness has come in and it of course it is a divider. For what fellowship has light with darkness ? Can salt water flow from a fresh mountain river? Can both sides be right and fellowship side by side? No, it is an impossibility. Church after church, denomination after denomination must decide and must take a stand. Two feet must be firmly established on the solid ground of Truth. One foot cannot be in one camp and one in another.
The next great lie to come, and mark my words once the gay issue is settled in the denominations, it will come, is, that there are many paths to heaven. So sister the battle ground in our time and really it has been the battle ground in every generation, is the Truth. Will we stand in the evil day upon the foundation of Christ which is the Way the Truth and the life.
These issues, in my opinion, are designed to aggravate and perpetuate the great falling away sister. Maybe you will have to leave something that you have belonged to all of your life? Maybe your parents and your grandparents went there as well? The question in the end for all of us will be ” how important is the truth?” Is it more important than your church, your family, your community, your desire to love and get along with people, your standing in your own circle of influence, your job, your career, in short, everything.
Those who will follow the narrow path that leads to life will discover that the path is paved with truth. And the foundation of the narrow path is love. When we speak the truth in love then hell shakes. It will not be apathetic to you, it will come against you. This is the battle ground sister. Put on the full armor and stand fast because the enemy knows his time is short.

Confess your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
In this modern day world of Christianity, great swaths of Christendom pray for healings. The portion of Scripture that is quoted often is ” Pray for one another that you might be healed, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Strange how the first portion of that Scripture tends to get overlooked or ignored. To confess one’s sins to another requires a certain degree of brokenness and humility. It requires transparency before men and before God.
We come up with a thousand reasons why we do not see healings in the west, we are too reliant upon technology and pills and doctors, our need is not as great as someone in the third world who has none of these things. We have rationlized away the supernatural. All of these things are undoubtedly true to one degree or another, yet perhaps the central issue is more simple and more profound. Pride. The sin that existed before the world began.
“For this is what the high and exalted One says– he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” (Isa 57:15)
If the Body of Christ wishes to walk in power, supernatural power, it begins with humilty and brokenness which is transparency before God and men. God dwells with such and their prayers availeth much.
