Hope In Jesus

Posted by appolus on April 7, 2008

He is above us, and His Spirit goes before us and will make the crooked path straight, He will make “rivers in the desert,” He will “make a way where there seems to be no way,” for He is faithful and true and is holding out His hand to you right now, lift up your head, reach out and take it, He will lead and guide you through this most difficult part.

Martin Luther King

Posted by appolus on April 4, 2008

I have a dream this day. I dream that men and woman of God around the world would rise up and take their rightful place in the Kingdom of God. If that means death to the flesh, or perhaps even literal death, then is it not better to die for our God in the glorious cause of freedom than to live out our lives in mediocrity? Better to only live one more day, but live that day a free man, than to live forty more years in the shadow of fear. Better to die in the street a chain breaker, than to be found cowering behind the door with a gun, ready to shoot anyone who “tries to get me and mine.”

Peace like a River

Posted by appolus on April 3, 2008

My peace is like a river
Winding slowly to the sea
My heart is deeper than the oceon
Filled with love He gave to me

Oh love that knows no ending
Rise up and set me free
I shall sail forever on this oceon
Forever, ever closer unto thee

Fill my sails oh precious Jesus
Wind of the Spirit propel me on
Over seas of tranquil beauty
To the horizon and beyond

I have sailed through stormy waters
When all my days had turned to night
I have sailed though windless days
Often tempted, tired, and no more fight

Sometimes the sun it seems to set
And we fight the rising tide
Of fear and darkness and regret
Yet thou art always by my side

So sail on my heart, to journey’s end
Sail on into the night
And neither wind nor rain nor stormy seas
Shall diminish the morning light

The River of Life

Posted by appolus on April 2, 2008

This flow must come from the very center of who we are, the most secret parts of us, the secret garden of our hearts, a place that is often times hidden away by the ravages of life. While this is the true source of life, the place that Jesus must reign over, too often is it guarded. Jesus has gone to enormous lengths to free us to be exactly who He wants us to be, yet so many will miss out because the very core of who they are remains veiled and guarded.

Jesus, conquering hero!!

Posted by appolus on March 26, 2008

A single tear falls from the Fathers face as He sees His Son return victorious. As the Father stands, Jesus, riding His majestic white stallion with a two-edged sword at His side, sees His Father. He lifts His head up towards the light and the glory. His horse majestically walks the path avoiding the golden crowns that lie beneath its feet, undisturbed by the cheers of the thousands, no the millions. And they sing “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty.” Read the rest of this entry »

No Revival until we ignore Revival

Posted by appolus on March 23, 2008

Only that which flows from an uninterrupted gaze on Him is real, all else is the shadow of the object. Granted, the shadow of the Lord is more powerful than all that can be seen, and one can even enjoy the heat from the sun in the shadow. Yet, the glow from the face of Moses, was not the glow of a man who stood in the shadows. I believe, if we choose as a church, that the Lord is about to pour out unadulterated light, not diffused through the efforts of man.

Baptize me in your Fire Lord, that I may light the world

Posted by appolus on March 18, 2008

Do you have the grace and the faith but most especially the love to be able to fulfill your role? Are you cloaked in an armor of light? Jesus is the light, are you covered by Him? Are you dealing with difficult people right now? Have you been hurt and offended? Breathe deeply brothers and sisters, yes take it in and breathe out life giving love in response.

You have been supernaturally created to be able to take this poison, take this toxicity and expel love and light in its place. It is our calling. When we stand before the Lord , I am fully convinced that this will be our offering to Him. For where is the reward on this earth to take the insult?

The Vastness of God and how He can be Known

Posted by appolus on March 12, 2008

In His presence I am changed, In His presence I have fullness of Joy, In His presence mysteries are revealed, In His presence I am healed, In His presence, offenses melt away like wax, In His presence I experience eternity, In His presence is the essence of Hope, In His presence I dwell in power, In His presence the crossed wires of my dysfunctional life are uncrossed. In His presence I forgive. In His presence I forget. In His presence I count my brother and sister in Christ higher than I count myself. And of course, in His presence there is fullness of Joy. And since I am still in the flesh, in His presence I abide under the shadow of His wings, and even that shadow is brighter than a thousand suns.

Revival is at the Door, can you see the cloud?

Posted by appolus on March 11, 2008

Two thousand years ago, three nails bore the weight and the burden of the whole world. Jesus had become the weight and the burden of the world. And the place of peace is Calvary. As we lift up our eyes to Jesus, then just as in the desert, we are healed. For He bore our burdens and now He promises us peace in the midst of the storm.

Do You Pray Continually?

Posted by appolus on March 9, 2008

This day, become part of that symphony, let your days be filled with thoughts of Him, release whispers of love to add to the music of prayer. Simply whisper the name of Jesus, all throughout the day, remind Him of how much you love Him, thank Him for the day, no matter what kind of day that your having. Rediscover that bond of love and joy and peace that comes simply by being in His presence. When you do this brothers and sisters, your prayer life will change dramatically, but not only your prayer life, your life itself.

Oh How Dark the Valley, Oh What Light the Cross

Posted by appolus on March 3, 2008

Jesus walked through the valley and it led to the high hill of Calvary. And from that momentary lofty place, we meet Jesus and He asks us to return to the valley. He is not asking us to do what He would not and did not do Himself. He came from the glories of heaven to walk in the pain and suffering of the valley. And in this moment of transfiguration, where we encounter the living God in the high place, we decide to die to ourselves and follow in His footsteps.

Sometimes we ask why.

Posted by appolus on March 2, 2008

Sometimes we would question ,”why Lord”, but there is always a reason. The lord cried from the cross “my God ,my God, why has thou forsaken me”, at that very point He touched man’s lowest ebb, despair, hell itself. I do not know, but I imagine that this was the hardest moment for our Father as He watched His Son hang from that cross and withdraw His presence Read the rest of this entry »

Who Is This Jesus?

Posted by appolus on February 28, 2008

“Our Saviors love would render the deepest ocean to but a single tear from the Masters eye. The sun that blazes brilliantly in the sky, but a spark compared to our Lords burning passion. The universe and all others combined, smaller than the smallest chamber of His heart. This is the God we serve; this is the Jesus of the Gospels; this is Jesus, God amongst us.” Read the rest of this entry »

One Flesh in the Temple

Posted by appolus on February 21, 2008

In the Old Testament, God poured out fire from heaven and we were touched by His presence. Two thousand years ago, He sent an all consuming fire to walk the earth. And although our Lord Jesus returned to His rightful place at the right hand of our Heavenly Father, the fire of our life came and dwelt in the very midst of our new hearts Read the rest of this entry »

When was the last time you were intimate with your Husband?

Posted by appolus on February 19, 2008

“Are you intimate with the Lord ? What does it mean to be intimate with Jesus? We, as husbands and wives, know what it means to be intimate with our spouses. If we did not come together “as one flesh,” then what would we be ? Roommates? Its the becoming one that truly makes us husbands and wives. Please do not mistake what I am saying, I am not talking about sex, although the act itself is part of the intimate equation. Yet, how many of us know that there can be sex without intimacy?”

Holding His Hand

Posted by appolus on February 18, 2008

The sweet all consuming joy of His presence. This heart of a lion that beats within the chest of a lamb. This all consuming power of love that rises victoriously above all the battles of life. What battle field do you find yourself on today? Do you battle the unseen enemy of unforgiveness? Or has someone wronged you and bitterness knocks at your door?

The Day I met An Angel

Posted by appolus on February 15, 2008

“My icy heart melted in the presence of the Lord.Warm waters of love came flooding into my heart. The cry of my heart had been (Psalm 69)”Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.

Do not let the flood of waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth on me.Hear me, O Jehovah, for Your loving-kindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. And hide not Your face from Your servant; for I am in trouble; hear me quickly.” Read the rest of this entry »

The Glory of the Third Temple

Posted by appolus on February 12, 2008

There is a coming movement of God. We , as the Church, seem to go through periods that reflect the children of Israel. What happened to the Israelites every time that they prospered? They grew self- dependent and moved far from God. Captivity always seemed to follow. The world, whether it was the Medes or the Persians or indeed the Babylonians, would conquer Israel.

The Sad Demise of Dr Dobson

Posted by appolus on February 11, 2008

“The main problem with the Dr Dobson’s and the Pat Robertson’s are they are men who have one foot in the world and one foot in Christ, it simply does not and cannot work. They lead the Christian community down a path and hypocrisy and confusion lie at the end of it.”

Will you Stand up and Die for your God?

Posted by appolus on February 11, 2008

“Jesus would cry out, in the most agonized cry every heard on the earth “Fatherrrrrrrrr, why has thou abandoned me.” You see Jesus could take being abandoned by His fellow Israelites whom He treasured, by His friends who He loved dearly, but to be abandoned by His Heavenly Father, to be separated from Him for the first time in all eternity, was a hell we can never comprehend. We think in time and space, we think in linear terms, we do not and cannot understand that the Godhead operates outside the bounds of time. Therefore, what we consider to be a moment of time, no one will ever know to what degree the “separation,” Jesus experienced from His Father really cost, not only Jesus, but also His beloved Father who had planned this from the very beginning.” Read the rest of this entry »
