Christianity has a target on its back!

rev-17-whore-of-babylonJer 4:30…. Though you clothe yourself with crimson, Though you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, Though you enlarge your eyes with paint, In vain you will make yourself fair; Your lovers will despise you; They will seek your life.

When God has spoken, when He has determined in His heart that His judgements shall come to pass then indeed in Jer 4:28 it says that the earth shall mourn and the heavens shall be black. Can I suggest brothers and sisters that God has spoken. The time of judgement is at hand and of course judgement begins at the house of the Lord. Many in Christendom run to and fro looking to forces that have helped them in the past. They appeal to society at large, they appeal to the courts, they appeal to politicians and to seats of power yet their lovers will despise them;they will seek their lives.

It is a sad sight to see Christian groups appeal to politicians and other groups, these are their lovers whom they have layed down with before. Yet when the worm turns, when no matter how much you try to make yourself attractive to them, they will ultimately despise you and seek your life. Politicians used to need the Evangelical vote and they courted them and Christendom loved to have it so. Now, rapidly, the Christian vote is becoming a liability to politicians of all stripes.

In the secular world, the dog eat dog world of power and position, when one is considered weak and injured and a liability, then that one is not only abandoned, but their former allies quickly turn on them. It can be devastating to those who thought they had friends that they could trust to find out that not only is not the case but their ” friends,” now turn on them and add their lot to those who come after them. Christians are about to find out that they are a liability to every politician out there. Their former lovers will despise them and disown them for they are no longer of any value to them.

It is a blessing that the enemy is being exposed by the judgements of God. God has taught us that friendship with the world is enmity to God. It is a gulf which cannot be bridged. Foolish so-called Christian leaders have courted relationships with the power structures of the world thinking that they would enhance the rights and desires of Christendom. Quite frankly brothers and sisters, God has always referred to this as whoredom. For what fellowship has righteousness with those who are a law unto themselves who have not the Lord of Lords as their Lord? And what communion has light with darkness?

The time has come for Christendom to recognize that there are no answers or solutions to any of our problems in the world. To court the world and to seek their approval is to compromise your faith and leave you weak and vulnerable. So to Christendom, who has chased after many lovers and now tries to make herself attractive to those who are ready to turn on them and devour them the Lord says “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.” (Rev 3:18-19)

He is referring to a blindness that has overtaken this congregation of people. They desperately need to see their state before their nakedness is revealed. Now is the time for Christendom to turn from the world and be refined in the fire and clothe themselves with white garments before their former lovers turn on them and devour them. It is the heart of God that judgement leads to repentance. For the Lord says “Break up your fallow ground, And do not sow among thorns.” (Jer 4:3) He also says “If you will return, O Israel, Return to Me; And if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, Then you shall not be moved.” (Jer 4:1)

God is calling to a stubborn and rebellious people. He loves them and He desires that they would seek Him and Him alone with their whole hearts. He has called out a remnant of His people to remind Christendom of their first love. His heart is that none would be lost. The time is short and God is speaking, the earth is mourning and the skies above are black with an impending storm that is about to engulf the whole world. And still God is calling out to those who are called by His name. He marks those that He loves by love. Above all things God’s people are faithful lovers of God.
