Another thing about the early church worth meditating on was a sharp separation between them and the world. In fact the world refused to associate with the church because of the convicting power being exercised among them. There was absolutely no compatibility between the church and the world in those early days (A.W.Tozer)

A deep dive into pure evil and all our perversity celebrated by the world. And one might say well that’s just the world.” If only that were true. This is the secular world and the world of so called Christian entertainment intertwined. The fact that they were even there tells us all we need to know, let alone the fact that none of them walked out. Men and women, dazzled by lights and fame and fortune, sitting in perfect harmony with filth, perversion and satanic inspired entertainment. What fellowship has light with darkness? What fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? Unequally yoked with unbelievers or can we say its all just unbelievers? The chasm grows wide brothers and sisters and no man can straddle it, those who try will fall headlong into the abyss.

    Is there not one among them taking a stand against the evil? “Counting the cost”… “laying down their life”…”giving up all” … the sake of CHRIST.
