Will you be deceived?

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.(Gal 6:7-8)

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
(1Co 6:9-10)

You see the pattern , there is a great propensity to be deceived. We can overly spiritualize the scriptures when it comes to speaking of not battling against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. We must remember that the forces of spiritual wickedness uses flesh and blood to come against the saints. Does that mean that the saints should war against them physically? No, of course not. Our battle uses something much more powerful that the weapons or the might of this world.

The weapon that we wield is the truth spoken in righteousness and love. It is a devastating weapon saints. It cuts to the heart, indeed it stabs the heart of the hearers either for good of for ill. It never leaves the hearers unaffected. Peter, using this weapon preached by the power of the Holy Spirit and thousands were saved, Stephen uses the same weapon and was endued with the same power and the fell on him and killed him

A great lie has invaded Christendom. Right has become wrong. A gross darkness has come in and it of course it is a divider. For what fellowship has light with darkness ? Can salt water flow from a fresh mountain river? Can both sides be right and fellowship side by side? No, it is an impossibility. Church after church, denomination after denomination must decide and must take a stand. Two feet must be firmly established on the solid ground of Truth. One foot cannot be in one camp and one in another.

The next great lie to come, and mark my words once the gay issue is settled in the denominations, it will come, is, that there are many paths to heaven. So sister the battle ground in our time and really it has been the battle ground in every generation, is the Truth. Will we stand in the evil day upon the foundation of Christ which is the Way the Truth and the life.

These issues, in my opinion, are designed to aggravate and perpetuate the great falling away sister. Maybe you will have to leave something that you have belonged to all of your life? Maybe your parents and your grandparents went there as well? The question in the end for all of us will be ” how important is the truth?” Is it more important than your church, your family, your community, your desire to love and get along with people, your standing in your own circle of influence, your job, your career, in short, everything.

Those who will follow the narrow path that leads to life will discover that the path is paved with truth. And the foundation of the narrow path is love. When we speak the truth in love then hell shakes. It will not be apathetic to you, it will come against you. This is the battle ground sister. Put on the full armor and stand fast because the enemy knows his time is short.

He lives in a High and Holy place

Confess your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

In this modern day world of Christianity, great swaths of Christendom pray for healings. The portion of Scripture that is quoted often is ” Pray for one another that you might be healed, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Strange how the first portion of that Scripture tends to get overlooked or ignored. To confess one’s sins to another requires a certain degree of brokenness and humility. It requires transparency before men and before God.

We come up with a thousand reasons why we do not see healings in the west, we are too reliant upon technology and pills and doctors, our need is not as great as someone in the third world who has none of these things. We have rationlized away the supernatural. All of these things are undoubtedly true to one degree or another, yet perhaps the central issue is more simple and more profound. Pride. The sin that existed before the world began.

“For this is what the high and exalted One says– he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” (Isa 57:15)

If the Body of Christ wishes to walk in power, supernatural power, it begins with humilty and brokenness which is transparency before God and men. God dwells with such and their prayers availeth much.
