Do you stand on the Rock

Posted by appolus on March 23, 2020

Mat 7:24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Jesus speaks of two kinds of houses in Mathew chapter 7:24-27. One is built upon the Rock and the other has no foundation. When the storm comes, when the flood rises and the winds blow with hurricane force, come dawns early ligth the house on the Rock still stands . The house without a foundation is swept away. Now consider this, the first word in Matt 7:24 is “wherefore.” The word wherefore means the answer or the explanation to a statement given. What was the statement Jesus had just made? In verses 21-23 Jesus says that not all who call Him Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, only those who do the will of my Father. So He will say to them “I never knew you, depart from me you who work iniquity.” He is talking to people who cast out demons and did many wonderful works in His name.

The test saint, is not the works that we do nor even the miracles that we are associated with. No, the test saints is how we stand or if we stand in the storm. It’s the storm that does the work. Who will praise Him in the storm? Who will do the will of the Father in the midst of the storm? To weather the storm with joy, with perseverance and with endurance is to prove which ground we stand upon. For those who stand upon the Rock, they shall not run from the storm, they shall not hide from the storm they shall stand tall in the midst of the storm in the might and the power of the Holy Spirit.

There is a huge storm raging around the world. It is the first of many such storms to come. The world will get over one storm and the next will quickly come. Yet those whose feet are planted on the Rock shall never be moved. They shall be able to enter into His presence, they shall go deeper into His heart, they shall stand upon the Word of God and the light of heaven shall shine through them like a beacon to a dark world. The Lord says that His kingdom is not of this world. We are part of His Kingdom and we do not belong to this world, we are merely passing through. We walk in the Spirit along the narrow way and He ever goes before us. Let not your hearts be troubled but rather rejoice. The praise of the saints from the depths of the dungeon is of so much greater value than those who praise His only from the mountaintops. A man can praise Jesus in the midst of good circumstances, it takes no foundation to do that. Only a saint standing on the solid Rock of Christ Himself can praise the Lord from the dungeon. What lies beneath your feet?

I just had to share this … I had to copy and paste because I was not sure how to forward it with just my name showing. I know this will be a witness to all who read it.

    Dear Rebecca,

Warm greetings from Revive Israel and thank you for reaching out to
us. We agree with your prayer for revival and repentance in the
    church.

I received this from Italy yesterday and it so deeply touched me, it
shows that He is hearing our prayers – bringing mercy and salvation
    amid the pain and misery.

A testimony by Julian Urban, 38 years old, Doctor in Lombardy

Never in my darkest nightmares did I imagine that I would have seen
and lived through what has been happening here in our hospital for the
last three weeks. And the nightmare only grows; the river becomes
bigger and bigger. At the beginning only a few arrived, then dozens,
and then hundreds, and now we are no longer doctors, we have become
mere sorters who decide who should live and who must be sent home to
die, even if they are people who have paid Italian taxes for their
    whole life. Up until two weeks ago, my colleagues and I were atheists;
this was normal because we are doctors and we have learned that
science proves that God does not exist. I always laughed at my parents
    when they went to church.

Nine days ago, a 75-year-old pastor came to us for medical help. He
was a kind man, he had grave respiratory problems, but he had a Bible
with him and it impressed us that he was reading the Bible to the
people who were dying and holding their hands.

We were all tired, discouraged doctors, psychologically and physically
spent, and so we found that we were listening to him.

Now we must admit: as human beings we have reached our limits, there
is nothing more we can do, and more people are dying every single day.
And we are exhausted. Two of our colleagues have died and others are
    infected.

We realized that we have reached the limits of what man can do. We
need God, and we have begun to ask for his help, when we have a few
moments free. We speak among ourselves and we cannot believe that we
who were fierce atheists are now seeking for interior peace by asking
the Lord to help us to resist so that we can take care of the sick.
Yesterday the 75-year old pastor died. Despite the fact that in the
last three weeks we have had over 120 people die in our unit and we
are all exhausted and feel destroyed, he succeeded, despite his own
condition and our own difficulties, to bring us a PEACE that we no
    longer hoped to find.

The pastor went to the Lord, and soon we will follow him if things
    continue like this.

I have not been home for six days; I don’t know the last time I ate
something; I realize my own worthlessness on this earth, and I want to
dedicate my last breath to helping others. I am happy to return to God
while I am surrounded by the suffering and death of my fellow men.”

Subject: Re: How Can We Pray For You?

I am not on face book but hoping and praying that the church be
revived … that we pray for a spirit of conviction and repent for
ourselves and our world. I pray that during God’s judgement He
remembers mercy. Please pray for the suffering peoples that this will
cause us all to cry out to our merciful Christ.

I read that testimony yesterday on Facebook, very powerful and indeed is the proper response from man to God. We should be humbled and broken and contrite after several decades of the mass slaughter of the innocents. For instance, last year alone in the the US, 650,000 babies were murdered and there were 40,000 suicides. In the States alone, over 60 million babies have been murdered. Seems that we learned nothing from WW11 and the holocaust. If we would indeed, repent, and turn from our wicked ways. Yet, in order to repent of anything, there must first be an ackowlegement of our sin. Isaiah cries out in an agony when encounters the living God and says “Woe is me.” Will the world see their sin and their ways? Will the “church?” Many are called, few are chosen…………bro Frank

Brother Frank…..This is the perfect message for this hour. There is a great shaking in the entire world right now, and only the righteous saints of God will come through the shaking and be left standing when this plague has passed. I exhort all saints everywhere to not be distressed in the least by what is happening right now. This coronavirus thing is directed toward a specific group of people. The greatest mass murder in all of human history has taken place on this earth. Uncountable millions of innocent babies have been murdered, and YAHWEH our God who created heaven and earth is finally fed up with it. A day of reconing has come for the inhabitants of the earth, pay day is here for the evil devils that brought this slaughter about. Fear not saints, this thing is not directed toward us. Lift up your heads, and look up, for our redemption draweth nigh.

I was just talking about this with a brother. Those who are targeted by this are over 70. This is the generation that gave us legalized abortion, the pill, a sexual revolution and so on. ……………………..bro Frank
