A Call To The Remnant

In August 17th, 1999, an earthquake of 7.2 magnitude hit Kocaeli Turkey. It lasted for 45 seconds and when the dust finally cleared, 17,000 people were dead. In the later investigation, it was found that many of the deaths occurred because building codes were not adhered to and therefore the buildings collapsed needlessly. The Contractors responsible were charged with murder.

FALSE PROPHETS

The main ingredients of mortar are sand, lime, cement and water. The most expensive and important ingredient is cement. An analysis of the mortar in Turkey found that there was little cement in the mortar, so when the shaking occurred, the high-rise structures had no integral strength and the mortar literally turned to dust.

Ezekiel 13:3,4……..”Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing. O Israel, your prophets are like foxes in the desert. 10. Because ,indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying “Peace!” where there is no peace- and one builds a wall, and they plaster it with untempared mortar-say to those who plaster it with untempered mortar, that it will fall. 14. So I will break down the wall you have plastered with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundations will be uncovered: it will fall and you shall be consumed in the midst of it, then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.

Mortar is somewhat like paint, it can cover ” a multitude of sins.” Indeed, walls covered by mortar can look excellent and structures can rise high and be very impressive to the untrained eye. Many “Prophets,” today have built impressive buildings. Their success lies in telling the people what the people want to hear.

Yet there is a coming earthquake for these false prophets, listen to what the Lord says …..”Thus will I accomplish My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it with untempered mortar; and I will say to you “The wall is no more, nor those who plastered it, that is the prophets of Israel, who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace” says the Lord God.

The prophets of America prophesy that all things are good and that things will only get better. They tickle the ears of their listeners just before the collection. In the very near future, large ministries in this country will fall and the Lord will expose the foundations. When this happens, we, as a people, must learn from the downfall.Our hearts must be prepared for what is to come, it is the riches of heaven that will take us through the fire itself, not the riches of this world.
