There is nothing that makes me feel more lame and lousy as when settling for a relationship being substandard. There will always reside a sourness (I would even say a sense of feeling like a bastard) outside of following the spirit’s discipline that leads us into the beauty of holiness.
It truly takes ‘salty’ Christians like Simpson and Tozer to make us thirsty to know holiness as our destined state.
