Up from the pit!

Anyone who has ever found themselves at the bottom of the bottomless pit can relate to a special kind of darkness that eats the soul alive. And then comes the light of Christ who lifts us ever upward out of the pit and onto that solid level ground. We know all too well that the light of Christ is life itself. Even when we made our bed in hell, He came to us, He plunged Himself into the darkness and took a hold of me, lying broken and dying in the kind of thick darkness that drowns you. Those of us who have been rescued from the pit will forever find ourselves at the feet of Jesus our Lord holding onto the hem of His garment being restored by His power and His light and His love. One repentant, broken contrite cry from the soul in darkness, brings the light.
