Identity in Christ alone

As a Scotsman by birth, with notions and myths of freedom rooted deeply into my soul and having met the Lord Jesus Christ I know the difference between imagined freedom and true freedom. There is nothing about my identity that is Scottish. I enjoy the people from the land of my birth, I love the humor and their tenacity but in every way I am Jesus first and last.My identity is fully wrapped up in who I am in Him. Everything else is theft. I will not allow this world or the ruler of this world to rob me of my identity. In this day and age of identity politics you can be assured that the enemy of our souls is at the very center of it all. My identity is fully immersed in Jesus.
I do not have black brothers and white sisters, I only have family and it is my family and it is all Jesus. I am not a white man or a black man I am a free man in Christ and in Christ there is color blindness. In the next couple of years there is coming a vicious storm and the enemy, the divider of the people, the one who sets us against each other will be fully engaged in his vicious work. Oily politicians are his foot soldiers. The army of God marches on its knees and is one in Christ. You cannot be in Christ and hate another man because of His color, it is an impossibility. You will know them by their love for one another. The world world will know us, the servants of Jesus by our love for one another. In a world totally fractured and divided for political and financial gain, we who are truly in Christ are the antidote.
