I love it when incessant winds die down
And all around is silence not a sound
And then I feel the sun upon my face
And I am caught up in a warm embrace
When all around me is desolate land
I feel the sun and still I stand
And even though there are dark clouds everywhere
Beyond those clouds I know the blue skies there
The wind it often chills me to the bone
Yet just one ray of sun and I am not alone
One foot in front of another is the way that I must go
I cannot deviate despite the blinding snow
Neither to the left nor to the right
Neither stormy seas nor darkened night
Can keep me from the narrow path I know
Although it may be flooded or blocked with snow
I’ll keep om walking till the very end
Because I know He is around each bend
I shall wade through waters high and mountain snow
As long as He is with me this I know
So if you cannot see your way ahead
Nor fall asleep when you lay down your head
Lift your eyes and see that shaft of light
That warms your face and guides you through the night
Then all the noise shall cease, no not a sound
I love it when incessant winds die down
And then I feel the sun upon my face
And I am caught up in a warm embrace.
