To the remnant of God

Posted by appolus on October 19, 2015

Isa 51:1 Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the LORD: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug.

There was a remnant of God living in Babylon just prior to their return to Jerusalem. Seventy long years and most of Israel that had been carried off were now completely consumed with the things of the world. Babylon offered some of the most modern living and comforts the world had to offer in those days. It seems that two-thirds of the Israelites, when given the opportunity, would not return to a broken down city with no walls. Much of that generation had never experienced what it had been like to live in Israel or worship in the temple.

And so the prophet has some advice for the remnant who still followed after righteousness even although they lived in a pagan world. He tells those who still sought after the Lord to lookback unto the rock from where they had been chiseled out and to the hole from where they had been dug up. He was telling God’s people to look back and remember what God had done for them, how they had been redeemed and called. Maybe as you look around and see the state of the world and the state of Christianity, you too are deeply discouraged. But I want you to remember your salvation, I want you to bring to your mind the darkness of sin that God called you out of into His marvelous light. I want you to think about all the trials and tribulations that the Lord has brought you through. I want you to consider your very sanity in a world gone mad, even the state of your mind is directly due to the God of our salvation, our heavenly Father. Praise God that we still stand.

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him. For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.(Isa 51:2-3)

For many remnant saints it is difficult to find fellowship. Perhaps this has caused you to despair and cry out to God in your loneliness? Can you see what God can do from nothing? He can take Abraham and Sarah, from whom it was impossible in the natural to have children, and create a whole nation. From two souls incapable of bearing children, out of a barren womb He creates a nation. I am not sure what your situation is but I know the Father can make your wilderness like Eden and your desert can become a garden. Listen saints, the God of all the ages approaches, yet before that, gross darkness will cover the land. Every saint will become an enemy to the state, to the world. They will take us out of their world and the world will cheer, but be of good cheer saints for the Lord has overcome the world. When they drive us out from amongst them, little do they know that they are herding us together. When denominations fall away in error and throw their lot in with the world, the saints are driven out with ridicules and jeers yet they are herded together by the very will of God.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. (Isa 51:6-7)

We have looked back to the salvation of our souls and we have considered how from a barren womb a nation sprung forth. We also know that twelve chosen men of God took forth the Gospel and shook the whole world. And so remnant saints do not despair for God will do a work through His people and He now tells us to lift up our eyes. We are to look up. See the heavens and the glory of God and know who set them in their place. Know that the righteousness that God has placed in your heart shall not be abolished. Men can pass laws and the world can pour scorn and ridicule us but do not fear them. Know that what God has established in you will not pass away. Heaven and earth and wicked men shall pass away but God’s salvation work in you is eternal.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon? Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. (Isa 51:9-11)

Awake, awake is the cry of a people who have no where left to turn. A people who have had everything of this world taken from them. When the institutions fail, when the denominations crumble and are swept away into a sea of error and a great delusion has taken hold of them, then the righteous cry out to God, the arm of the Lord who is Jesus, to awake on our behalf. It is not that our redeemer sleeps, it is that we in our lack of dependence upon Him for generation after generation, have suddenly awoken to the fact that gross darkness comes. Yet when we truly consider the greatness of our God as we look back and look up then now as we look forward to His coming then we, the redeemed of the Lord can sing in our hearts and know that the heavenly city comes. The joy of knowing the joy that is to shortly come. We can look back and comfort ourselves with what He has done on our behalf and from where He has taken us from. We can look up and see the glory of God and know that we serve the God who has set the stars in the heavens and that after that scroll is rolled up we will still be praising God in a place where sorrow and mourning has fled away. We can look forward to this. Our eyes must be set upon His glory and His return and His Kingdom and His power.

Yes saints, as watchmen on the wall we cry aloud at the coming storm and the approaching gross darkness that even now laps around our feet and rises slowly up to consume those without spiritual eyes in complete blindness. Yet we have been called to consider what comes after the darkness, what comes when the dawn light breaks and the Son of glory splits the sky, this is our calling, to see the light and to proclaim it and to be it. We are consumed and filled with the light that is and is to come. We walk in and herald a Kingdom that is and is to come. John the Baptist cried out behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world, and he was brought out of the desert to do it. We too shall emerge from the wilderness and in our unity shall proclaim behold the Lion of Judah who comes riding on a horse who will judge the living and the dead.

And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people. (Isa 51:16)

There comes a new heaven and new earth and until that day the Lord our God, our Father in heaven holds us in the very palm of His hand. We are His people and He has not forgotten us. There is an exodus yet to come. Not from Egypt nor from Babylon but from a world that is passing away. God Himself carries us for we are His people, His remnant people. Stand strong saints, we know that our redeemer lives and He knows every one of us. He will give us the words to say in the days to come, He will fill us again and again with His Holy Spirit and we will stand in the power of God against the greatest flood that man has ever seen. The greatness of this flood of evil is only surpassed by the light that God has given to us. Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. This word is true and His greatness is about to be revealed, first through His remnant saints, and then when He rides in glory to judge a world given over to darkness.

Greetings from Mexico brother Frank…….What an awsome article, and as usual it fits perfectly all the remnant saints world wide. I want to take this opportunity to relate something that happened to me this past week that might be an encouragement to everyone that is going through a trial. Even if you are not going through a trial right now, you can be assured that you will be soon.
I have a mission base about 300 miles south of the Mexican border in the state of Sonora Mexico. I had to travel to thew United States last week to get some supplies for the mission. I was driving alone in my 1997 Ford F350 mission van. I was coming back from the United States driving at night, the van was loaded to the max. Every thing was going fine, i was making good time, and looking forward to being reunited with my family in a couple of hours. Then at about the 200 mile point from my home the fan belt broke on the van. Let me tell you folks, to be driving alone at night in Mexico, with a van loaded to the max with thousands of dollars worth of supplies of every sort is not the most comfortable position to be in with a broken fan belt on your vehicle, and 200 miles of dark and dangerous road ahead of you. My first reaction was to fight off the spirit of panic that was trying to overwhelm me. I laid hands on the dash board of my van, and began talking to my Heavenly Fatherlike i would be talking to someone sitting right beside me, which of course he was.. I said”Father, i am in a most dangerous situation. You know more than i do what a dark and dreadful place this country of mexico is even in the day time. I am asking you to help me get home. I am asking you to cause this van to make it all the way over these 200 miles of dangerous road before the lights go out and the spark plugs quit working and the engine quits.” A great peace came over me, and i knew my heavenly Father knew exactly where i was at, and what i was in need of at that moment. Folks, i drove for 200 miles with a broken fan belt on my mission van. My lights stayed on all the way, and the engine never got hot, and the moment that i pulled up to the gate of my mission base here the lights went out and the engine died. I talked with 3 mechanics at a car repair place yesterday. Iasked them if it was possible to drive for 200 miles at night with a broken fan belt. They said, ” with the type of van that you have in would be impossible. Your van has a serpitene fan belt, in other words one fan belt works everything on the engine. They said, even if you were driving with your lights off, the battery would only keep the spark plugs going for a few miles at best, plus the engine would heat up within about 10 miles. No it is not possible to drive a vehicle of this type for 200 miles without the lights going out and the engine heating up and dying. I said to them, i just did it. I drove this van for 200 miles in the night. The lights stayed on all the way, the engine never heated up, and the vehicle only quit when i reached the gate of my mission base. They said, you had an angel sitting beside you in that vehicle.”
Our God is an awsome God folks. He allowed that to happen to me in order to prepare me for what is shortly coming upon the world. Stay strong my friends, and doubt not. God is real, and he knows everything about us. He monitors us on a 24*7 basis. The future is very dark, but i assure you, everything is going to be alright. Blessings from mexico…..Robert Taylor

What a tremendous testimony brother. Our God is and always has been a supernatural miracle working God. He never sleeps and He watches over His own. Not giving into fear is a very real gateway to the miraculous. God is pleased when His children trust Him. It was His good pleasure to take you home that dark night on a wing and a prayer. The God of all creation goes before us and hedges us in behind. Thank you Jesus for the deliverance of my brother Robert. No darkness that exists will stop my brother fulfilling your will for His life, the steps of a righteous man are ordered of God and it seems that this vehicle was also ordered of God. Thank you Lord and may you continue to watch over my brother………………..bro Frank

Hello Bro, I’m going to tell you some thing that happened in my house on September 27-2015, as a testimony of how the attacks on Christians is everywhere, by everyone,in this case family members, friends, the authorities and the press.
I live in Maui in a very remote area, in the same property lives my daughter, son in law, grandchildren and a friend of them, none of them a Christian, well my grandchildren go to a Christian school but for the education only. We all have here separate lives in different cottages.
That day my son in law took the kids to surf, then my son in law got into a fit fight with another surfer, they always fight over waves, even that they all born and grew up together here. The fight was bloody and the other guy end up with a tennis ball looking eye.
When they arrived home my daughter call the police, because the guy also threw a rock to their van and damage it, but nothing happen to my grandchildren who were inside.
I was in my house in the balcony and my daughter and grandchildren in their driveway when she screams “someone just threw an arrow”, then I see this guy running into the property, one of the dogs went after him but he had to stop because his collar gives a shock when too close to the side fence. The guy that lives here went running after him and me too. When we got to the gate he was pointing his charged crossbow that looks like a super weapon. He told our friend to stop because he will kill him too because he hated him for a long time (all this over waves) but his main goal was to kill my son in law first. I walked straight to him, from then on the Holy Spirit took over, I had no fear what so ever, the man was 6’7 and build like a fighter and he is a hunter so knows how to use the crossbow very good for more than 25 years.
With 1 hand up to the sky I called screaming “in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” over and over. The guy that run out with me stay frozen with fear.
I kept stopping this furious man from making 1 step, he will throw me to the side with his elbow, shoulder and some times with his right hand, many times the arrow from his weapon was right in my head just 3 inches. The whole time he was saying “get away from me”, that was the evil spirit that possed him telling the Holy Spirit that was in me.
This went on for 20 minutes, me telling him about God, at one point I put my hand as closer I could to his heart and told him “God loves you and I love you too”
He was telling me how he was going to go in and kill my son in law (my son in law was hiding) and then he was going to jump of the cliff, we live 1/2 a block from the ocean and is a 50 feet cliff. I said to him his jump was going to end up straight in hell and many other things that the Holy Spirit was saying to him through me.
Finally he went to his truck and when he got close to our drive way I open my arms like a cross and told him that over my dead body he will drive in, he speed out and scream “I’m coming back to kill him”
I know that it was the HOLY SPIRIT who took over me from the first moment that I saw this man in the property from my balcony, I run, how? I am very weak, have to have surgery in my back , cervical and lumbar, I can’t have surgery the neurosurgeon told me until I gain weight, I’m 5’6″ and only 100lb, also the way I talked to him, I can have and did for a long time a mouth of a sailor and truck driver put together, not 1 bad word came out of my mouth, it was all about God and imploring to Jesus intersection. I was a super sport person and know martial arts, but didn’t use any kind of defense or aggressiveness, just my hand open on his chest or shoulder, I had at that moment almighty strength.
After all this happen 7 police arrived, they took for ever because how remote is our place.
Police took reports, then the next Tuesday the Maui News (main news paper here) put an article, it was also in the Internet in their site but when I went on Thursday to look for it to send it to my nephew, it was gone, that’s because the government here doesn’t want ppl to know because the main $ making here is tourism .
And the man that lives here and my son in law didn’t want to acknowledge that God had done a big miracle, none here wanted to say that the sick, skeleton grandma saved their life’s, it was God himself not me.
God used the weakest person in this place, even my young 3 grandchildren are stronger than me.
Every one hates me here, not my grandchildren, but all the rest. They even evicted me because I stand to all the wrong doing. My daughter just told me last week that I can’t talk in her house about my religion, it’s not a religion but they don’t get it.
In all this every one, ppl here, news, police didn’t want to acknowledge God and took him out of the whole thing.
It is an extreme example of this dark times.
I praise God for what he did, it helped me to realize that no matter what I don’t have to be afraid.

You know sister, in every saint there is the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead. The same Spirit that caused David to run towards Goliath. When the Spirit of God consumes us and fills us then it casts out all fear. God is always on time and He never leaves us nor forsakes us. Many saints worry that in the coming persecution they will not be strong enough, they are right, they will not be, but He is and His grace is sufficiant and timely. Praise God for the deliverance he wrought through you by His Spirit. The righteous are as bold as lions and the Spirit of God in a man or woman makes us more than conqueror’s. And you are right sister, no matter what, you dont have to be afraid……………….bro Frank

        Yes brother! Deuteronomy 31:6.
The storm got stronger and I will ride it with my God, he gave us the promise “I will never live you nor forsake you”
An opportunity to see what I made of, WHO I have in me.
God bless you and your family.
