A Word from the Lord

Posted by appolus on April 25, 2008

Do you not know that I am the God that searches your heart? There are no walls around my church. There are walls that surround your hearts. These walls are made of other gods. Behind these walls, in the garden of your heart, lie idols of gold & mammon and every foul thing My Word warns you clearly about. Where is My precious Son Jesus? Is there any room left for Him in your hearts or has He been relegated to just another idol?

A WORD FROM THE LORD

“Do you not know that I am the God that searches your heart? There are no walls around my church. There are walls that surround your hearts. These walls are made of other gods. Behind these walls, in the garden of your heart, lie idols of gold & mammon and every foul thing My Word warns you clearly about. Where is My precious Son Jesus? Is there any room left for Him in your hearts or has He been relegated to just another idol? Too long have you dwelt in the land of darkness. Indeed your eyes have become accustomed to the darkness which you now perceive as light.

Repent………..make My Son the Lord and Savior of your whole heart for He is the light of the world in whom there is no darkness. As the moon reflects the light of the sun into a dark world, you must reflect the glory of God. You must not be a reflection of the world.”

I feel the need to explain one part of this word. The darkness is what we perceive to be the presence of the Lord. If you enter a room that is very dim, it will take a while for your eyes to become accustomed to the lack of light. Yet, accustomed you will become. If you stay in the dimness long enough, actual light will hurt, and you would have to cover your eyes to protect them. There is such a lack of freedom for the Holy Spirit to move in the American church(man’s need to control his environment) that we have created a dimness in which we can control and dwell. Satan knows the danger of men letting the Holy Spirit lead them and guide them.

He knows that as men bask in the true light of His presence they are energized, encouraged, lifted up and empowered. In order to counteract this, a whole lot of nonsense, that passed for freedom, flooded into the church. Now it seems, the choice is nonsense on the one hand, or control on the other.

We must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us in our churches. He is the worship leader, He is the teacher. Men and woman can be used to bring us to a place of entering in, yet the bringing has become the whole, therefore, merely dimness, a mere shadow of what the Lord wants for us. A good friend and spiritual man said to me recently that modern worship gives us a faint whiff of a beautiful aroma that comes from a field full of beauty. We are not supposed to smell the roses faintly from afar, we are supposed to enter the field and walk amongst its beauty. Only when the Holy Spirit is free to conduct our services, will we indeed enter in.

Frank, I have visited now and again and read through many of your posts without having time to comment as I would like due to time restraints and a weary mind. I do so enjoy reading your insights and what you share and have found my heart stirred, or the encouragement I needed right at that time, and even been convicted of where I was at that moment.

We spent several years in a very legalistic church that claimed it had “the truth” but was indeed a dark Pharisaical place. It’s been 20 years since we left but I clearly remember how it felt to come out of the dark box we were in that we thought was light, to be overwhelmed by the brightness of Jesus glory and the freedom found in Christ.

The rules of men and letter of the law is death to the spirit, but in Jesus Christ there is liberty, freedom, hope and LIFE everlasting! For he whom the Son has set free shall be free indeed. Bless the Lord!!!

Thank you for faithfully sharing what the Lord gives you Frank! May your heart be blessed in His love and grace.

    Susan

Hi Susan…Great to hear from you sis. As you know, we bless each other 🙂 Yes , praise the Lord for the light of His Truth and His Spirit and His love. Legalism is so much death to the soul, oh how great the darkness of those who have no love yet seek to judge the world with the Truth of our Lord. The Lord came to seek and to save that which was lost, that is the heart of our Savior…….Frank
