One soul saved is better than one vote cast.

Having now lived in the States for over 30 years, I am just as dismayed now as I was when I was first saved over here and saw an American flag flying in the church. It seemed so out of place to have such a flag flying or any flag flying. I have no problem with the American flag. I believe that in a secular world, America is among the greatest if not the greatest country to ever emerge from the chaos of a lawless world that had only once ever really been conquered, and that by a ruthless Rome in a limited way.
I suppose America is the high water mark of Western civilization and it is and has been in the process of committing slow suicide for generations, death by “freedom.” Any so called freedom, apart from the freedom wrought for us on bloody Calvary ultimately proves to be poison to a fallen mankind. This is where most so called American Evangelicals are hopelessly confused. They have co mingled secular freedom with the freedom given to us by Christ. What man gives man can take away, what Christ gives no man can touch.
So, in a couple of weeks we shall be, it will be told to us, voting for freedom versus oppression. And let us not doubt, although that is wrong, that oppression of the Christian will undoubtedly soar under a Biden administration that will be run by critical race theorists and gender identity madness that will seek, eventually, to lock up anyone who disagrees with them. Yet still, the choice is not between oppression and freedom. he whom the Son set free is already free.
The choice for me, if one votes, whether Evangelical or Catholic or any other group or individual who would have the audacity to call themselves followers of Jesus, and it is an audacious and dangerous claim, lies under the shadow of 64 million murdered babies and counting. I believe for so many genuine saints, this is truly their motivation for voting. They have not fully realized the depths of the fallenness of man and their systems. They believe that they can stop the slide of man into the abyss, not realizing we are already there and the only thing that stops the world from being totally consumed by the darkness is the light that shines from genuine saints.
So, genuine saints will hold their noses once again and vote for Trump for the reasons I have stated and more. God bless them. But in the end, the only thing that makes a difference in this world, truly makes a difference in an evil and fallen world, is someone getting saved. One soul saved is far better than one vote cast. One is a secular right and the other is a mandate from the King of the Kingdom in which we truly dwell, a Kingdom not of this world.

Brother Frank this may open a can of worms, but I will risk it. Does the leaven of Herod have to do with getting involved with political maneuvering?
I heard a theory once that Judas betrayed Jesus in order to force his hand against the Roman government (?) and when the plan failed that is why he hung himself (of course it was God’s preordained plan). The thing I am praying for myself and America is that we will surrender all rights to ourselves as our Lord Jesus showed in the humilty he lived out utterly clinging to the Father. Knowing we seek another country we are foreigners in this world and I must fight to stay that way. Blessings to you.

Amen sister, we are foreigners and strangers in a world that is not ours. The Herodians were political animals and understood nothing but politics. The pharisees were convinced that Messiah would come and deliver Israel from the yoke of Rome. The Sadducees were the aristocrats of thier day who did not even believe in life after death. Did Judas try and force the hand of Jesus by handing Him over? Very possibly. Was he simply a progressive zealot who was obsessed with money and the state of himself or his fellow man? Possibly. The vote for Barabbas over Jesus, is for me, the most telling. Barabbas was a violent radical zealot and would have been for the overthrowing of Rome by violence. I believe that the majority of those who call themselves a Christian today in America would find Barabbas more appealing than Jesus. A suffering sacrificial Jesus would be just as offensive to today’s “patriots,” as He was to the zealots of 2000 years ago. Understanding that we have no rights, outside of the right to follow Jesus and follow His commands would be to die to this world. I believe persecution will put paid to the notions about freedom. Political freedom is given by man and can be taken by man. The freedom wrought for us on the bloody battlefield of Calvary can never be taken from us. He whom the Son set free is free indeed. We are completely liberated in Jesus whether on the highest mountaintop or lying in the bottom of a dungeon………………..bro Frank

Matt 11:29-30
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Thank you for explaining =)
